SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV): "There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: 'Out. Off. End. Goodbye.' It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future."

Yep...we'd all be way better off if those nasty news channels would just be made to go away, and let the Congress do its job without all those pain in the a$$ private citizens always interfering.

With the internet it doesn't really matter. Fox is the commie/progressive whipping boy of choice to demonize.

PMSNBC has no viewers so turning that off would be like banning FuzzNJ, nobody would notice.

But a politician discussing "silencing" public discourse is beyond disturbing. Its telling where democrats today are......Moderates need to take that party back.

The Senator was sharing a nice dream. Not much different than wishing that stupid people were not stupid. Who would have thought that in the USA in 2010 we would see men like Glenn Beck talk hatefully regularly and have millions respect what they say as truthful and useful? Lots of real problems to consider, but some ignoramuses prefer attacks on George Soros for surviving the holocaust, or whatever lousy interpretation of history and deceit FOX offers.

^ what does Glen Beck say that is hatefull, be specific. He has said plenty I disagree with, and his crying drives me away.....But hateful? Don't think so.

Yes what a dream to kill millions of stupid countrymen. Spoken like a fan of Stalin.

Surviving the holocaust? No. Try better deary. He is a evil man, everything Beck did in that piece was the mans own words either spoken in interviews or from his books.

First, Soros didn't "survive" the Holocost. By his own admission, he participated in destroying Jews.

Second, if your dream is killing political speech just because you don't like the tone or the subject matter, maybe you'd be better off somewhere in a Sierra Leone, or some other African Marxist Banana Republic. While I intensly dislike MSNBC, the people on there have a right to express their views, and to provide time for those of like mind to express their views as well. I don't have to watch it, and as long as I don't have my tax dollars paying patronage to such an organization, they can say whatever in the hell they want.

You, on the other hand, "dream" about government stepping in and silencing people you don't like because of what they say.

Seriously, if you don't like this country, move to the "people's paradise" of Cuba with the rest of the vicious Marxists.

He'll be back but he won't acknowledge how f'n wrong he was.

If Beck was lying he'd have the power of Soros and his money up his can so far he'd be tasting it for the rest of his life.

That's not happening. Why? Proper investigative reporting. Factual evidence.

Soros doesn't have a leg to stand on. If he did, he was lying before and he is now.

Take your pick.

Our Manchurian Candidate the Kenyan King was anointed and funded by Soros as a nation killer.

Post 13 is hilarious. Beck not lying? Proper investigative reporting? Because, as he stated, "I can't lie because I'm saying this on tv."

Ever notice how the advertisers during Beck are all pushing "free" medicaid chairs and fat people mobility devices that can be "gotten for free?"

Old, stupid, food stamp using white people watch Beck. Money making genius that man is.

I'm conservative, and I know who Beck is although I've never once seen his show (only small snippets on the internet).
His time slot doesn't fit into my schedule.
From what I've seen, I don't care for his style, despite agreeing with much of what he pushes.

But I read your post and wonder what you're aiming for?
Glenn Beck is a liar because his audience consists of old white moochers?

If Beck is a liar, please enlighten us with some of his untruths.
If he is spreading hate (I know, not your claim but I figured you agreed with that sentiment) then please cite an example of the hatred

You obviously disagree with Beck's politics, but how does that make him a liar?

Thanks.
