There are truly only two classes of people.

Lenders and Debtors (slaves)

The Lenders are globalists because lending does not know international boundaries. Globalists control everything. Absolutely everything will be done to block debt default at both the individual and government level. The lender/debtor relationship is everything.

If this fails, hope you own gold, guns, and ammunition.

HD, yes, tea thinks the people who sit at home and enjoy their free housing, food, electric and beer are going to give that up as a sacrifice for their kids (which they have 5-15 of, not because they hope to give them a better life but because they get mo money from the go'ernment) and make this country a great place again!

yes, my family is from greece. they lived the credit crackpipe dream for years as well. now its a little rough over there. we are doing the exact same thing but because we can print mo money, we are refusing to face reality.

these effing dems and repubs keep up their public semantics to appease each side. dems act like they are helping the masses with go'ernment money and repubs act like they are cutting spending. their $61 billion reduction is the equivalent of what america BORROWS every 15 days. we are f*cked, sorry tee, face reality. if there were more people like us who realize we have to make sacrifices that will be painful and difficult, there would be hope but we are a very small minority that shrinks daily.

Does anyone actually read what others say anymore? I could swear I said something about leaches still wanting their blood. It's not the leaches I have faith in. It's me, my family and others like me. I think that includes most on this board and a much larger more determined group than some give credit. Either that or we can just declare the sky as fallen and call the whole thing off.

Maybe so.

I have to admit I never thought I'd see the day when a fairly conservitive place such as this believes more in other countries than our own and thinks so negatively about the concept of our best days being ahead. it must be the new patriotism.

At least you are honest HD.

All this does worry me though. I'm currently working on a business plan for a start up business. Maybe its not worth the effort since there is no hope.

The reality is that 60% of the votes can always be purchased by giving away government controlled handouts. Meanwhile the lenders remain protected and the debtors remain debtors to both the lenders and the government. It is a great system (if you're a lender).

Your theory of "best days ahead" have to overcome my statement of reality. You have hope for change!

Poor dog. how did he lose his legs? landmine? must have cauterized things instantly since he didn't notice. shock helps with pain. when he wagged his tail did it make him roll over or did he at least have stubbs to stableize things. maybe cros didn't feel it either.

why does rick always type in all caps? it pains me to read it!

tee, you and i can "believe" all we want but the harsh reality is that hardworking people who built america and made it great are actually a minority now. we are at the tipping point of people who are receiving money from the government will outweigh what you and i as workers bring in. Im almost 30 and dont have any kids, yet there are hundreds of thousands of people in memphis who are on government support and have 5,10 or more kids. 1 person paying for 10 is not sustainable.

assurances have been made...... of course they have... lets see, china owns large parts of our debt and is now buying US public land, roads, toll roads/bridges along with other vital infrastructure. We went to war in iraq to "Free the people!" and built an oil pipeline to china........ we went to war in afganistan to save them from the taliban, and mysteriously discovered trillions of dollars in natural resources of rare metals, and we just loaned brazil a few billion to explore offshore oil fields that only china has the rights to any oil discovered........ no telling what the treasury dept is doing behind our backs.

lastly, what the hell has america built in even the past 25 years? i think the last hydrodam was built '79 (had trouble finding that info, feel free to correct) any major bridges, landmarks, buildings, etc? nothing really comes to mind.
