A bright future for a nation that's in the hole more than 100% of its GDP?

Yeah...nothing but Hope & Change.

But what if we vote out the Charles Schumers, Lindsey Grahams, weepy John Boehners, et al & replace with folks who have a proven track record for unselfish integrity & above the table business acumen?
Can we then turn this ship around?

BuwaaaaaaaahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. (wiping tears & speckled drool)
Who am I kidding?
Almost had you, especially with the "unselfish integrity & above the table business acumen" part.

I checked undecided, The way things are going now in Washington doesn't give one much hope. Even if our clueless president loses next year it is going to take draconian measures to right the ship and I'm not sure any have the nads to get it done.

I, thus far, am the only one that checked "YES" which is weird because I'm usually a real Debbie Downer. But my reasoning is fairly simple--go back 20 years, 40 years, or even more and there are always signs of the apocalypse, statements about being on the brink of collapse, a longing for the good old days. And, when questioned, the doomsayers are quick to point out that "This time is different."

Will there be downturns and upswings? Of course. But I'm a long way off from trying to map out where my children should go to escape the coming darkness.

While these are indeed terrible economic times, this country still has a lot left to it. Life won't be easy or the same as it was, but it never is.

I hope yes. However I'm not yet convinced that the majority of sheeple have a clue.

Good to see you have more company now, Yardo.

I dug ditches at 14 during Johnson. Was one of the few long haired & bearded, College Republicans for Nixon. Agonized as a newlywed & a broker when an imbecilic grinning Carter beat the hapless Ford. Took ample abuse for being one of the founders for Friends of Dan Quayle during senior Bush. Experienced incredulity but great prosperity under (so to speak) Clinton. Initially supported only to endure and suffer through two terms with dimbulb Dubya. But never ever have I felt a mood of desperation and fear of the unknown in this country as I have under inept Obama's first term- soon to be two.

There would not be such dispair if you all had gotten under the Obama Cone of Protection when I told you to do so.

Do you know what type of dog food that Obama's dog prefers? Gravytrain, baby!

I do believe there is a bright future for us... It will take the people to make that happen... If we leave it up to the Government, there will be no future...

Rev.18

[2] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

[3] For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
