I am generally a Makers Mark, 1792 and Woodford Reserve kind of guy.
Iv had many other whiskey's such as bullet, crown, jack daniels etc

My question is, between the low end and the high, are there other brands some may reccomend for quality and cost?

Iv seen Bookers in a few different bottles. Which is the best, cause there's a small batch for $30 ish and a limited for $45 in a coffin.

Also, anyone tried Knob Creek? Any count?

Knob Creek is very good. I mostly drink Bullett, Makers, Knob Creek or Bookers. Any of those 4 and I'm happy.

I have been into bourbon since my teens, when I wasn't drinking the illegal kind, original member of the KBC when Mr Booker was alive,Now I think the Bardstown Whiskey Society is all they have. I do enjoy Knob Creek, was able to get it as it first came out, years ago. Evan Williams has a single barrel vintage you can find sometimes in the $30 range if you like oak aged, Wild Turkey's Russell's Reserve is a little "hotter". You will just honestly have to sample around and match your taste /desires as well, they will change and mature as you sample and age. I am a little lucky here in TN we get some that are not distributed further because of availability yet. To get the real small distillery stuff, you almost have to go to the Bardstown area. A great trip if you ever get the opportunity, lots of other cool history there as well.

+1 on the KG (Kentucky Deluxe) can't beat the price and it IS palatable

yessir correct the green label is yuck! I live in TN and can't stand sweet TN whiskies.
