You're an idiot.

If sexuality IS NOT A CHOICE, then no goddamn stupid ass kid is going to choose to be gay. They're going to screw the people they're attracted to. Or they won't screw the people they're attracted to (like the mormon) That has ZERO IMPACT on who they're attracted to.

Ok... I'm going to have to take baby steps here, because logic is obviously not your strong suit. I'm sorry, when I made the statements I thought you were capable of making the leaps of inference that a normal person could make.

Step 1 - Sexuality is not a choice. If you're gay, no amount of vagina f*cking will make you straight.
Step 2 - Kids will have sex with people they're attracted to. Or they'll make a decision (like the Mormon) to have sex with people they aren't attracted to.
Step 3 - If no amount of vagina is going to turn a gay kid straight, then no amount of d^ck is going to turn a straight kid gay. Sexuality is WHO YOU ARE ATTRACTED TO.
Step 4 - Peer pressure (seriously, you're worried about peer pressure making kids gay.... ) can only pressure someone into having sex with someone they aren't attracted to (see every high school girl pressured into having sex ever). it isn't going to change who they actually want to have sex with.
Step 5 - If who they want to have sex with is unchanged, then their sexuality is unchanged (gay or straight).

As for gay being a "choice"?

I think there is some grey area on this one.

While I believe the vast majority of homosexuals do not choose their sexual attractions, there are still many who do (even if briefly).
I'm talking about bisexuals.
And those wonderful college chicks who "experiment" until after graduation.
And have we determined if prison sex is gay or not?

You get the idea. Not all homosexuals are middle aged men who are confused and who try to fight it.

But overall, it's definitely not a choice.

I agree that muddies the water.

There are people who fit smack dab in the "bi" category, and because of societal peer pressure (see what I did there drafter?) they usually end up in a hetero relationship. Since they're attracted to the opposite sex, this isn't an issue for them. However it gives idiots some sort of belief that someone who is gay is going to change.

As for prison sex... you'll have to ask TW.

I've discussed it with many of them. There has never been any "outside influence". A couple friends (older ones) were married. Many of them tried for years to be in hetero relationships because of the peer pressure to be "normal". If peer pressure to be "normal" isn't going to keep a gay guy in a straight relationship, then what makes you think peer pressure to be "different" (really, you're using this logical argument.... ) going to keep someone in a gay relationship? Do you really have some idea in your head that being gay is so wonderful? (I know, the name makes it sound like a really happy time... )

Something's wrong with your decision making process and your ability to come to conclusions.

You know my thoughts on this subject, but I think you underestimate how easily some people can be persuaded.
Think about cults.
What about street gangs? Sure there's a safety factor, but too many of these punks end up enjoying the violence.
Girls form pregnancy pacts because of peer pressure and outside influence.
People stick needles into their veins because someone else told them it was fun and it was OK. I'm not talking about an addict. Think about that First Time.
College Frats subject pledges to a host of embarrassing moments. None that would be deemed wonderful. and they willingly accept this.

I'm not purposely comparing being gay with the list of things above. I'm just saying that outside influences do have an impact where a "reasonable and sane" person would seemingly otherwise object.

Not trying to add more grey area. Just letting you understand that your conclusions may not be the only logical one, even though I mostly agree with you on this subject.

I think it's a false argument anyhow.
Does it matter if it's a choice or genetic?
The end result (no pun intended) is the same.
