The KKK example had nothing to do with the specific thread that was pulled, I was just using an extreme to illustrate a situation where a company looking to court specifically racist individuals may make the choice to actively pull threads that are speaking against racism (the entire point being that any company is going to tailor, to a greater or lesser extent the content of the forums not on a "liberal" or "conservative" agenda, but to fit a profile of the broadest consumer base they can hit). This will hold true for any company, and will change based on the profile of their consumer.

That's my point. This is in no way a liberal/conservative thing and to try to blame the "liberal agenda" is really grasping at straws. Hell, for all you know it could have been conservatives who complained (trish did say you'd be surprised)

At the risk of repeating myself, you just don't get it.

I agree that Cbid did what they felt was right. I don't blame Trish et al for responding to the thin-skinned cries.

I think that those who complained should look in the mirror and determine if they ever did anything to offend anyone.
Ever.

I just found your "pointy white robe" comment unnecessary. This isn't about racism. It's about a fear of opposing viewpoints and the inability to endure daring (albeit mildly) banter.

To paraphrase an earlier post of mine:
Boo Freakin' Hoo.

I bet it had nothing to do with politics and was a chick. Usually the chicks are the only ones that complain and the only ones CB listens to. Darn chicks. they even made it so the word C O C K gets edited in here

Agreed. But thin skinned whinyness comes in all political flavors. Just because the thread started with a bash on our president, doesn't mean the offended individuals were liberals.

True.
But regardless of the subject matter, a liberal is more inclined to take offense and "tattle".
A conservative that gets offended is more likely to call someone to task directly.

I say something offensive? Tell me.
Working around my back serves no long term purpose. And if you just wanted short term satisfaction, you could get the same result by closing the thread.

In a recent release of a 2007 Obama speech, where he uses lies to claim America hates blacks, he inexplicably uses a deep southern-minister type of twang to his speech.

This prompted a poll question to find out who used the best fake accent amongst democratic politicians.

You can guess where the discussion led.
