Back in '94, the "Contract with America" showed much promise. Won Republicans a lot of seats. Then it just fizzled out.
If I recall, initial tea party "protests" were centered solely around spending and people's irritation at the bloat in government. It wasn't until the group started gaining traction that certain groups (including the religious right) started to want to add language to their platforms around "family values" etc.
Maybe some "family values" is what we need in this country.Where is the poll option for Reagan Conservatism?
