Good Job, Grasshopper.

I'll concede a couple points up there until I can find supporting info elsewhere, however they are not all wrong, of that I'm sure. But it got you thinkin' didn't it, Vic? You seem to backpedal on the issue by stating you didn't agree with the AHA to some extent. So, even though a couple of the items above are arguing semantics, lets let those lie for now.

WTF?
No you idiot... it didn't "get me thinking"... and no I didn't backpedal. You can find posts from me from back before Obama was elected saying I wasn't a fan of single payer systems for healthcare. You're a blip in the radar here. A blip which has trouble doing its own critical thinking.

And yes, they are ALL wrong. Every single point you laid out was wrong. Do you understand why? Because if something raises taxes by 3%, and you say it raises taxes by 400%, you're WRONG. You don't get partial credit for being in the right direction. This isn't semantics. It's flat out incorrect information which YOU never bothered to double-check. When I have to spend time pulling up the correct information because you're too gullible to think critically about random lists you get in a chain email, you don't get to say you "got me thinking"... I'm doing the work you were supposed to do yourself as a responsible member of society or even a responsible voter. Start pulling your own weight.

Lesson #2: Pick the following apart. The last item discusses the individual mandate. Compare & contrast the individual mandate with the employer mandate, and hypothesize the reasonable resulting consequences thereof. List possible results of over taxing the evil, hated, "rich", and estimate the number of additional employment opportunities lost when they decide enough is enough, close up shop and go sit on a beach.

Ready? Go.

seriously? No.
Your habit of posting crap which is clearly "too good to be true" and then relying on other people to do your critical thinking for you, coupled with the delusion that you're helping them out in some way does not make you a philosopher, or any sort of great thinker. there was no "lesson #1" and I'm not going to jump through any "lesson #2 hoops".

What makes you think you know so much about all smokers? Just another broad generalization based on personal opinion. There are plenty out there that smoke 2+ packs a day, just as there are those that smoke upwards of 8+ cigars a day.

Sounds like a couple of silver-spooners that like to stereo-type. Phfffft!

you will never guess what percentage of smokers who smoke over just 1 pack a day.

Do you honestly believe everything in a Gallup pool? Plus it's year old. Does it account for those that smoke the E-Vape crap in addition to tobacco? You know… the smokers that sit behind a desk and don't have the time, those that wish to smoke in public without the scrutiny, and those that believe PG vaping is healthier than tobacco. Not mentioning another cigar boom as many smokers move again to cigars. And pipes? Guess it's all about your environment and where/what you choose to smoke, and believe? But you go ahead and keep promoting that non-smoking propaganda and stereotyping those that chose to smoke what they like. There always has been and always will be a smoking culture regardless of any healthcare or FDA laws passed by a president that smokes himself.

Who's Glenn Beck? Never listened to him. Graduated from The School of Hard Knocks.

There is a point to all this; you dont want to believe first hand from a smoker that 2 packs is near impossible, you dont want to believe a polling company; you want to believe what you know, which comes from neither smoking 2 pack a day yourself, nor taking a poll yourself. If this is your logic, the rest of your worldview is shaped that way.

No dude, its not a conspiracy. you are mistaken.

you will rarely find someone that smokes 2 packs a day. Even 1 pack is hard; nowadays. And to what end? its not going to be fun, it will be chain smoking. I smoked hard when I was younger, pack was the best i could do. Some hard core brothers could push it to pack and a half. BTW those folks in section 8 aint smoking good cigarettes, those floor sweeping and roll your own buglers will have you coughing blood the next week at 2 packs a day.

RIP Tupac.[-o< this man did not mean anything by it.

Two packs a day isn't difficult. For years I smoked 2-3 packs of Marlboro Reds daily. When I smoked cigarettes I would go through a carton every 4-5 days.

Stop by a Circle K in the middle of a Sec 8' area and you will find plenty of Marlboro, Kools and Camels being sold.

I was two packs a day for 25 years and had to try not to break into a third. I've only ever known ( of those who smoke/ed) either two packers, or social smokers who'd only smoke when they drank.

Oh. We call them party stores, grab two packs, a 40, and the hookups happen behind it. No public restrooms. Back tomorrow for two more packs.
