Pence seems like a reasonable dude. He's prolly caught in something he wishes he wasn't and was led there by a group more extreme than him that's in a fight with an equally extreme group from the other side.

I tend to agree that the law was not needed. That being said neither is the Federal Gov. needed to stick it's nose in where it doesn't belong, they through our courts forced private business owners ( Not corps. ) into conducting business in a way they clearly weren't comfortable with....one question, what was /is stopping these folks from seeking out another business who will welcome them and their beliefs?? Let the FREE MARKET do its thing, these businesses will either succeed or fail based on their business practices.

I've always been confused why people think homosexuality is a "choice". To be so sure that they are "choosing" to be gay, you must have some inside knowledge that I don't have. I mean, I didn't "choose" to be attracted to women. I just am. Are you "choosing" to be attracted to women TCBY? Is that why you're always so angry?

As for a homosexual gene... they've had some success in fruitflies (no pun intended).

And I'm really curious where you draw the line on what the difference is between "preferring" to screw someone of the same sex and being sexually attracted to someone of the same sex. That seems like the dumbest differentiation without any distinction ever identified. It's meaningless to try to peg it as a "preference" as opposed to sexual attraction.



So where do you draw the line? At what point does a business get to discriminate against customers AND/OR employment based on"free will". Can you not hire someone for their race? Can you not serve someone for their race? Can you not hire someone because they're christian? Can you not serve someone because they're christian?

Laws are in place to protect from the "tyranny of the majority" and while you may like to pretend you're in the minority, and some poor put-upon white male... you aren't. These laws are in place to ensure that a person can live in a community. If all the business owners in some small town in Indiana decided not to sell to gay people, you essentially run a person out of town by making it impossible for them to purchase goods or services in the area. Sure, a florist is a stupid shop, and not a "need". But what if all the grocery stores refused to sell to "the gays"?
