Same here. In fact, I blame the media and the 24 hour news cycle for a lot of the problems and divisiveness that we have today. The media didn't used to care what your opinion or political affiliation is. They reported and exposed and let you decide. Now they pander to a specific audience and show nothing but extreme examples of that audience. Most people are NOT nutjobs. But nutjobs sell so we get nothing but nutjobs on both the right and left. After awhile people begin to think that nutjobbery is the norm. and eventually, it BECOMES the norm.


I honestly believe that the vast SILENT MAJORITY of people....whatever their political affiliation....want clean air and water, the OPPORTUNITY to work a good job, affordable healthcare, a strong military to protect ourselves that ISN'T the World's Policeman, Good roads and infrastructure, the right to own firearms with sensible, common sense restrictions to keep them out of the hands of $hitbags as much as possible and to generally be left alone to live their lives as they see fit.
