TMCTLT, Obama had Homeland Security bust up almost every known white supremacy group during his administration. That was probably a good thing too it needed to happen and I'm pretty sure other domestic terror groups went down in the process since most of those organizations make deals with other organizations that aren't white.

It would be easy to assume I am saying ban the entire world, or even ban no one at all, but both would be incorrect.
I'm saying this specific Trump move is a test of our tolerance, and it certainly does not promote safety...as Al has helped to illustrate.

The term "White Supremacists"conjures up gut reactions, much like the term "Muslim Terrorists", but despite the sheer facts of which group has murdered many times more of us, it's the latter that is really scary to us when uttered on the news...myself included as I am just as susceptible to language controlling reality as anyone, especially since Terrorists are attached to bigger splashier news than Supremacists. Media consider Terror sexier I guess, despite the facts.

And kids going off randomly on campus are even less of a worry than Terrorists, despite their success in carnage.

MACS can attest to the fact that my wife and I were truly astonished to learn what goes into our freedom when he so generously gave us a tour of San Diego Bay and pointed out so much about our proud Navy. Even one who never gave it a thought like The Lovely Caren could not and has not stopped talking about how important supporting our military branches is to our way of life. I am not shrugging my shoulders in a lib-dream that many here imagine me to be doing.
I love my freedom, our way of life, and I do know there are groups dedicated to ending it...both here and abroad.

But this little piece of Trumpism relates more to my paragraph about language and emotion vs reality. We need real safety plans, not slogans, not cherry picking to curry gut reaction. Not tests to see how much we will cower and how much power we will allow. Vigilance, clear headed decisions, not tweets.

Illegals are a problem and there are a LOT of them coming across the river here. We only know about the ones we catch and truthfully don't really know how many make it undetected. We need to know WHO these people are and what business they have here. Same as if WE travel to their country.
