Yah...that's what the party that controls both chambers of Congress, with enough votes within their own party to avoid the shutdown, wants you to believe...

The GOP is learning that it was pretty easy to obstruct, but much more difficult to govern....I guess those muscles atrophied during the Obama years...

Gotta have 60 votes.. all we need is 9 Democrats but Schumer and Pelosi won't allow it.. but the will insist, like many others cause they're told to, that it's all the Republican's fault... 😟

Ooops, sorry I was wrong about only needing a majority vote in the Senate...

so they need 12 Dems, because three GOP Senators are opposed......what is the GOP offering as concessions for their votes? Isn't that how governance worked in the past?

so only Dems are to blame

Did the GOP accept dog **** to avoid the last shutdown?

Mulvaney says that if the govt. does shut down, there won't be the discomfort felt across the country as occurred when the GOP shut down the govt when Obama was President. He said Obama "weaponized" the shut down to hurt the public...

Not in the media in Trump's world...

I miss the days when compromise and concessions were part of the process of governance...when the parties both at least pretended to be doing the "people's work." When some Senators and Reps were respected by people in the opposing party. Now it's more like a team/blood sport and every decision is contested as if 'lives depend on it" and any member of the other party is villified as a chit eating mongrel...
