I don't feel too strongly about immigration issues EXCEPT that I feel very strongly that the rhetoric is asinine on all sides. I hope there's some sort of bipartisan agreements soon, if only because this immigration stuff is as toxic to national conversations as anything else out there right now. I'd like to think that once we get past the biggest 4 or 5 immigration points, there might be opportunity for actual conversation about other stuff like budgets and security and health care, etc.

The truth is that there was a CR crafted that had nothing in it that ANYONE in Congress objected to. The dems saw it as a chance to 'filibuster' without filibuster....shoot it down and hold it hostage for unrelated stuff.....smart play...if it works
