Know what happens to American kids when their parents commit crimes and are detained? They're taken by CPS... separated from their parents. OMG!!!

Why has nobody complained about that? Hmmmmm.

If you come over here illegally, and there's no way for the US to verify the kids are, in fact, your kids... and you've committed a crime and have been detained... what should they do with the kids?

Is NONE of the responsibility going to be placed SQUARELY where it belongs? The parents who did the crime WITH their kids in tow?

Time made a bad decision. Pure stupidity.

Did it hurt the mainstream media's credibility? Sure.

They could have used silhouettes. Or a cartoon version. Or the actual photo to make their point.

So they missed the mark. Big deal. They photoshopped a symbol of their disappointment.

Don't make THAT the only takeaway.

Truth is Trump was separating families at the border.

How is that not truth or reality?

Time issues correction for photo of crying migrant girl

(NBC News) A photo of a crying Honduran girl used as a symbol of the Trump administration's policy of separating undocumented migrant children from their parents turns out to not be as representative as originally believed.

The June 12 image of 2-year-old Yanela Sanchez went viral and was selected for the cover of the July 2 issue of Time. But the magazine published a correction to an article about the photo clarifying that the girl was never actually separated from her mother, Sandra.

"The original version of this story misstated what happened to the girl in the photo after she [was] taken from the scene," said the correction, which was added to the article shortly after it was published online on Tuesday. "The girl was not carried away screaming by U.S. Border Patrol agents; her mother picked her up and the two were taken away together."

The photographer, John Moore of Getty Images, had noticed the mistake and contacted Time to make the correction, the magazine said.
