It just may be the solution. There is not nearly enough information to know yet. In South Africa there have been no deaths, none on vents, and none needing oxygen. This seems very promising for many reasons.

It is looking more and more likely. At a minimum Omicron has went in that direction. I hope Omicron gets us there, but maybe a few more mutations are needed to fully get there.
Admittedly, I don’t spend much time watching the mainstream media. What I have seen is breathless reporting on how potentially contagious it is. But no reporting on the lethality.
A cynic might say, if the media does report this latest version isn’t lethal to people why bother watching or clicking.
There are 12 people in the adjacent county that have the Omnicomicon. All were fully vaccinated and none are hospitalized. It hasn’t made it across the county line yet. We should build a wall.
