3 hours of deliberation over two days, guilty on all three counts.

I’m betting his appeal and sentencing don’t take as long as Cheeto Jesus. Crazy to see how the fedbois have gone after gun users and sellers over little things (and made up changes of established rule interpretations). Then this open and shut case.

Hunter Biden Convicted On Felony Gun Charges

Update: Hunter Biden, the smartest man his father knows, has been convicted on all three felony gun charges (and not anything to do with '10 held for the big guy' of course) - so obviously the least of his alleged crimes and one which doesn't implicate his father or uncle.

According to AP, Hunter stared straight ahead and showed little emotion as the verdict was read. The judge has since excused the jurors.

A sentencing date has not yet been set, but prepare to be bombarded with "I wasn't aware Hunter was running for president" from the left.

Hunter's legal team had been pursuing a jury nullification strategy, which obviously didn't work.

...The problem is that the defenses put up by Abbe Lowell in the opening argument collapsed within two days as the prosecutors methodically dismantled these claims...

* * *

The jury in Hunter Biden's federal gun trial have reached a verdict after two days of deliberations.

The 12-member jury will decide whether the 1st son is guilty of three charges related to a 2018 purchase of a gun, which prosecutors say violated federal law because he was addicted to crack cocaine at the time. Hunter has pleaded not guilty.

If convicted on all three counts, he could face up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000.

The case marks the first time in US history that the child of a sitting president has gone on trial. The indictment was brought by special counsel David Weiss, who was appointed last year to oversee various Hunter Biden probes.

The first two charges in the three-count indictment are related to the gun purchase itself - specifically, Hunter has been charged with lying on forms required by the ATF. The questions include: "Have you been convicted of a felony? Are you a fugitive? Are you in the country unlawfully? And, importantly for this case, are you an “unlawful user of, or addicted to” illegal drugs?" Hunter checked "No" to the last question.

The third count relates to the possession of a gun - as it's also against federal law to do so if you are abusing drugs. Hunter had the gun for 11 days in October 2018 before his sister-in-law-turned-lover Hallie Biden tossed it in a dumpster because she was worried about his mental health according to the indictment and texts made public in court filings.

According to CNN (so who knows), here's a breakdown of the jury:

Juror #1 is a woman who said she has a sister who is a recovering drug addict who served time in Delaware state prison for convictions on drug offenses and credit card fraud. She said her sister is “currently clean.” She also said typically watches the CBS Evening News.

Juror #2 is a woman who is now retired after working for 24 years for the United States Secret Service for 24 years in Washington, DC, handling contract negotiations. Her husband also worked for the Secret Service’s uniformed division and served in the White House, US Capitol and “foreign missions.” She said he currently owns a personal handgun.

Juror #3 (formerly alternate juror 1) is a woman. She said she heard about the case but was not following it. Her brother, she said, was a police officer in Delaware and is now serving in the Delaware state legislature.

Juror #4 is a woman who, when asked about her views on drugs and gun ownership, said people who smoke marijuana should be allowed to own firearms, saying that “weed, to me, isn’t as bad as the drugs like heroin, for example.” She said her father and brother own guns.

Juror #5 is a man who said the Civil Rights movement showed how US law enforcement has had failures when it comes to treating African Americans fairly under the law. He said he got a DUI two years ago and had to go to Alcoholics Anonymous.

Juror #6 is an older black man who said he has a license to conceal carry a firearm. He owns three pistols and said, “I believe the Second Amendment is very important, and I stand with it, and I think every law-abiding citizen that follows the law should be able to have their Second Amendment.“

Juror #7 was asked very little by the judge and attorneys in the case but said his dad owned guns.

Juror #8, said his father had been killed during a crime and that his brother was previously arrested on possession of drug charges.

Juror #9, a woman, told the judge that she owns a firearm, adding that she had learned about the existence of the case on TV.

Juror #10 learned about the case from his brother during a graduation last weekend. When he told his brother he had received a jury summons, his brother responded “You know who’s on trial? Hunter Biden,” according to the juror. Another brother, as well as his father who are now both deceased, struggled with alcohol addiction. He said, “I know they both had diseases.”

Juror #11 said her best friend from childhood died from a heroin overdose. She also said, “my family hunts, they have hunting rifles and things like that,” but that she does not personally own a gun.

Juror #12, who wasn’t asked many questions, said he has an older brother who is addicted to PCP and heroin and was “admitted to rehab many times.”

Has justice already been served? We haven't seen the sentencing yet.
This conviction of the outlaw Hunter Biden, although deserved, distracts from the much more serious crimes of the Biden Crime Family.
Of course, they will appeal and nothing will happen until after the election. Hunter's trial for failure to pay his fair share to the Reich will also likely get pushed back until after the election.

As the Trump campaign said and I already agreed with before I read their statement, "This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine," Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign's national press secretary, said in a statement. "Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit."

This case won't even end till sentencing (which could be after the election). Thereafter, the appellate process will take several years.

Give it a rest, the jury found him guilty. Therefore, he is guilty, he will appeal just as Trump is doing. Trump, in my opinion won in 2016 because of James Comey. He breached FBI policy by commenting 5 days before that election. Dirty deeds are done by both parties by politicizing segments of the federal government. Happy isn't the correct term or word for this. I'm looking at this more through the lens of "Equal Application of the Law". There isn't one gun owner on this forum that would remain as unscathed and protected as Hunter Biden with regards to his purchase, ownership and "disposal" of a firearm. We all had to fill out the form that had the questions:

f. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance? Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

h. Have you ever been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions?

Those 2 questions alone would preclude any sane honest individual from ownership. There is NO DOUBT he has drug problems. He even wrote a book about it.

https://time.com/5952773/hunter-biden-memoir-beautiful-things/ [/i][/color]

His laptop contained a detailed account of how low into addiction he was at the time of said purchase. This was a SLAM DUNK of a case to convict on.

As for LeHD...why do you oppose an open free market? And as for Joe's statement...the optics of it all...It's just Joe being Joe. Aren't you glad he came back to America to wash out his crack just to go back to Europe for the G7 meeting? Talk about the hypocrisy of using Air Force One and bleating Climate Change initiatives.

Nice try, FJB
Sacrificing Hunter won't work

The conviction of Hunter Biden shocked me. I thought the fix was in. Boy did I read the wrong script. But Obama said never underestimate Biden’s ability to F things up. Maybe he screwed up this time.

Likely not because there was a reason FJB was his VP: Never underestimate Biden’s ability to win a general election.

He’s beaten Republicans 10 consecutive times, beginning in 1972, when as a complete unknown he knocked off an incumbent senator in a year in which Nixon took 49 states including Delaware.

FJB would sacrifice anything or anybody to win. You don’t go from graduating 79th in a class of 87 at Syracuse University College of Law to the presidency by playing nice. He lies. He plagiarizes. His sniffs children like they were pies. Bye, bye, Hunter. Daddy’s got to make his justice system look legitimate.

Politico loyally promoted the DNC line: “Hunter Biden verdict throws ‘sand in the gears’ of GOP’s attacks on legal system.”

The attack is not on the legal system. The attack is on those who abuse the system.

Politico said:

Trump’s team made no mention of either Hunter Biden or the former president’s own legal troubles in its response to the Delaware jury’s decision.

“This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine,” Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a prepared statement. “Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit.”

The statement appears to be a modified version of one initially provided to CNN, which included well wishes for Hunter Biden “in his recovery and legal affairs.”

Trump and his allies have long accused the president of profiting off his son’s business dealings, even as they have struggled to substantiate the charges.

How odd since the evidence of the Biden Crime Family’s is overwhelming while there never was evidence of Putin interfering with the 2016 election, including just how Putin did it.

Most people want to believe in America and trust its government. No one wants to believe the system does not work. Hunter going down is aimed at reassuring us that there is nothing wrong with our system of justice in America.

But the problem for Democrats is the American people have bigger worries thanks to Biden — the economy, inflation and immigration. The rising chances of another world war are alarming.

CBS released a poll that showed the verdicts in New York are not a deal killer.

CBS reported, “Trump outpaces Mr. Biden on a range of qualities like being seen as effective, tough, energetic and — more narrowly — competent. Also, more think Trump has a vision of where he wants to lead the country.

“Mr. Biden does better on personal likability and being viewed as compassionate. But that likability gap does not match vote preferences, because a lot of people who dislike Trump personally are voting for Trump anyway.”

To paraphrase an old Louisiana political slogan, “Vote for the convicted felon. It’s THAT important.”

The poll also showed 62% of Americans want to deport illegal aliens. Which candidate do you think that helps?

The charges against Hunter were as off-the-wall as Alvin Bragg’s off-with-his-head charges against President Trump over paying the extortion to the hooker.

In a separate story, CBS reported:

President Biden issued a statement in response to his son Hunter Biden being convicted on three felony gun charges in federal court in Delaware on Tuesday, with the president saying he will accept the outcome of the case and loves his son. The president is leaving Washington for Delaware on Tuesday afternoon, in a change to the president's schedule.

The jury determined Hunter Biden illegally purchased and possessed a gun while he was addicted to crack cocaine, violating federal law that prohibits users of illegal drugs from owning firearms. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

“As I said last week, I am the president, but I am also a dad,” the president said in his statement. “Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today. So many families who have had loved ones battle addiction understand the feeling of pride seeing someone you love come out the other side and be so strong and resilient in recovery. As I also said last week, I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that.”

How noble.

So why wasn’t the guy charged with buying and using illegal narcotics? Instead we get another process crime. That Hunter violated gun laws is ironic given his father’s obsession with stripping Americans of their God given right to self-defense. That he was charged is not legitimate.

Come on, why are we sending a man to prison for up to 25 years for not disclosing he was using illegal drugs? Isn’t there a constitutional prohibition in forcing self-incrimination?

If his name was Joe Schmoe, he would not have been charged. Very few failed background checks to buy guns result in prosecution.

Frankly, the entire Gun Control Act of 1968 deserves to be shelved because it is ineffective — gun murders soared in the decade after it became the law — and unconstitutional. The federal government should have no say in whether you purchase a firearm. The Second Amendment makes that clear.

Democrats hope that Hunter’s conviction brings to a screeching halt efforts to investigate the vast web of the Biden family corruption.

They hope that go-along-to-get-along Republicans will drop the investigation because continuing it will look like piling on. They hope the verdict inoculates Hunter from further prosecution on serious crimes.

Sure, just like the Pfizer and Moderna shots inoculated everyone from covid.

Sacrificing Hunter once may have worked, but convicting Trump ended that. James Comer, head of the House Oversight Committee, is not giving up.

He tweeted, “Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal [last year] was smoked out after scrutiny by a federal judge. Today’s verdict is a step toward accountability but until the Department of Justice investigates everyone involved in the Bidens’ corrupt influence peddling schemes that generated over $18 million in foreign payments to the Biden family, it will be clear department officials continue to cover for the Big Guy, Joe Biden.”

Americans see a regime in disarray. Anti-Semites are terrorizing Jews, taking over the park near the White House and vandalizing statues in support of the rape and murder of Israelis.

FJB does nothing to stop what the media dismisses as mere protests.

Meanwhile, the F Up-in-chief’s policy in Ukraine has Russia positioning hypersonic missiles in Cuba. This Cuban Missile Crisis has the role of JFK played by an old man so dumb that we don’t know if he has dementia or it is his natural stupidity.

The stakes in this election just rose from saving the constitutional republic to saving the country. We are one misstep away from a world war and we have a president who cannot climb the stairs to Air Force One.

FJB’s winning streak may end in November. Sacrificing Hunter won’t save him — but it may save the rest of us if Trump is re-elected before World War Three begins.

Chum in the Water: Hunter Biden Associate to Testify That He Bribed the First Son

I'm beginning to think that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Biden crime family bromance is coming to a close.

Special counsel David Weiss is alleging that Hunter Biden and his myrmidons snagged $3 million from Romanian oligarch Gabriel Popoviciu, an accusation the Oversight Committee made in May of 2023, and Popoviciu is expected to testify in Hunter's tax evasion trial set for next month in California.

FACT-O-RAMA! Weiss once offered Hunter a "sweetheart deal" involving his tax case which would have made it impossible to charge him for buying a gun while hoovering Electric Kool-aid. The deal fell apart when the judge read through it and tossed it out. Hunter was later convicted of three felonies regarding the gun purchase.

Popoviciu allegedly paid Hunter $3 million to “attempt to influence U.S. government agencies to investigate the Romanian investigation," which was looking into the oligarch's affairs, Wiess stated.

This seems to be a similar situation to the Ukrainian debacle where Joe Biden reportedly had a prosecutor fired for investigating Burisma, a company that paid mad stacks to the Biden family, a little piece of skullduggery that Biden bragged about in front of cameras

Here's the fun part: the deal with Popoviciu was arranged in such a way as to avoid filings with the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) since Hunter thought that the deal might create "political ramifications" for Daddy.

Hunter is not currently facing charges for dodging FARA filings.

More QUID PRO JOE>>>
New Documents released by the FBI says Hunter Biden was hired by Romania to influence US policy. pic.twitter.com/lCgR0Qr8av
— Project Constitution (@DeleteLawzClips) August 8, 2024

According to court filings, Romania is just one of the countries from which the Bidens were soaking up cash. Weiss is also expected to bring evidence showing that Hunter received money from the Chinese energy company CEFC, which has ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He also plans to bring up money that Hunter accepted from that pesky Burisma gas company.

The most curious aspect is that court filings have finally mentioned the possibility of bribery. The FARA lobbying accusation won't be mentioned in court.

"The evidence will not include evidence that the defendant performed lobbying activity in exchange for this compensation," according to the court filings. “Rather the evidence will show the defendant performed almost no work in exchange for the millions of dollars he received from these entities."

FACT-O-RAMA! Joe Biden is not implicated (yet) in the current case documents.

Why would Weiss, seemingly an ally at one time, suddenly turn his guns on Hunter? It's possible that Weiss is working up another sweetheart deal for Hunter and is bringing the bribery charges to the surface so he can make them go away.

It is also possible that the DOJ no longer has a use for anyone with the last name "Biden." Hunter is a Democratic Party insider who "knows where the bodies are buried." He is also a drug addict, and many consider him to be a loose cannon who blew millions of dollars on crack and hookers.

Now that Gropey Joe has been chased from the White House, perhaps being a Biden may have lost its panache in Washington, D.C.
