Good Friday Afternoon to All! Coffee, picked up four dozen doughnuts for the dealership where I got the oil change on my truck, back home lunch done.
Soon I'll be off to the hardware store to get sand to backfill the pit dug under the front porch to replace the last 80 feet of water line to the house. The plumber was able to slide in a 3/4" PEX line through the existing 1" PVC pipe. Unfortunately, about two feet from where it goes through the foundation wall to the lower garage it stopped hard. Several hours later a hole jackhammered into the front porch and dug down two fee plus revealed the two 90 elbows in the PVC pipe. After more digging the PEX line was threaded in. The old PVC shutoff valves were replaced with SS ball valves and two new regulators installed, one to protect the PEX line, the other to set house pressure. Best of all, the water has already stopped seeping through the foundation wall in the lower garage, I am on very happy camper. 😄
Safe travels JGRAZ
