Morning everyone. Finally a bit milder here in NJ. Looking like a mostly cloudy day and only heading to 88*. Last day of the work week for me, heading to the cigar shop tonight for an AJ event. Enjoy the day

Well AJ event now in doubt. Just found out I'm staying late for work. At least its double time.

Well, F_ me! Yesterday on my 5 miler I lost my keys. Didn't realize it until I returned to the house so I walked back the way I had come about a quarter of a mile thinking that iffn they slipped out of my pocket it would have been right at the 1st part of the walk. Although I walk in the same neighborhoods each day I always alter my routes so not finding them I gave up.

There was a front door key and our mail box key for the community lock box so the wifey immediately wanted to call a locksmith to rekey the doors and send a request to the PO to rekey the mail box although I insisted that there was very little chance that anyone finding them could know where they came from. So, this morning, I retraced the entire 5 miles and found them lying in the street about 2.5 miles from the house.

Now Imma going to buy a lottery ticket. 😇

Good Thursday Morning to All! It's 77° on the way to 94° today.

PSA: For the love of all things holly and not, replace your smoke detector batteries and the detectors themselves if they are nearing ten years old, they do wear out. My nephew died Monday of smoke inhalation in a house fire, God rest his sole.

Very sorry to hear that Gene...
I'm sure mine are over 10 years old but I know one of them works. It went off yesterday when the wife was cooking bacon... 😟

Damn, Gene, my condolences. I replaced mine a few years back since they were about ten years old.

Happy Midday, Thursday.

My ladies are happy.
It has been a good morning for body, mind and soul.

Feeling the push pull deciding whether I should cut the lawn.

The neighbor sprayed his lawn, and I'm sure a little of mine. Says to stay off until 7/12.

But is doesn't mention a year.

Be good to yourselves and if you can, others.

Condolences for your extended family Gene.

Mine chirped their last about a year ago and were replaced. In my area the Fire Dept will assist with replacing them if you purchase them and request their help.

So sorry to hear about your nephew, Gene. Condolences to you, yours and his families...

I used to replace the smoke detector batteries every year when the clocks have to be set back. But I found when I tested them before tossing, the newer batteries hold their charges longer and were still good. So now I wait for the chirps and then replace the set.

didn't have much luck playing the lottery, so I stopped...prefer to gamble in Las Vegas, where I occasionally win...OTOH, I've lost a bunch in one trip, more than I spent on lottery tickets for all those years I played...

I don't frequent the in state casinos in California, although I've won at blackjack the few times I've gone years ago...the atmosphere in many of them was too quiet and sorta morose...

somebody turned the heater back on today...99F...jumped into the pool with the grandkids

grilled some chicken marinated in Bachan's Original Japanese Barbecue sauce...yummmm...
