I heard a guy who said he knew a guy who knows a guy...
He said the larger ones look like the kind that hover and "contractors" have been or plan to use them to make deliveries to places like military installations, military ships in deep water/rough seas, etc.
His personal guess after learning that is these are just practice runs, that our government knows of them so they aren't foreign intrusions (some fear the intrusion, I know) and that's the reason they are acting so unconcerned...contractors are basically government anyway but using the official separation allows our officials to act cool, as if we aren't directly involved.
Good story in any event cuz I think we'd be shooting them down otherwise.
