I see the J 6'ers as 98.2% political prisoners who were targeted for their political beliefs. I see Trump was targeted by his political opponent... just like Nelson Mandela.
As I said... I don't believe he pardoned ALL of them, and yes, the ones who put hands on cops should get some punishment/jail time. Some of these folks were locked up the entire time and hadn't even been charged.
We disagree, and that's okay. You might think I believe Trump can do no wrong, and that's just not true. He will eventually do something I disagree with and I will say so.
I didn't know he pardoned his son-in-law's dad. It stinks, for sure... but he had already been charged, tried and convicted, right? There's a difference.

That gives me a better view of where you are coming from. He did not release them all. At least there were reported to be a number somewhere in the double digits.
The parallel I'd draw as a comparison to your commentary of how there were undercover feds within the crowd urging the protesters/rioters forward (which I do believe there were some feds doing that), is with Portland.
Rioters/protesters is Portland burned that city for at least 95 days (ZRX, chime in with the total # if you like). There had to be some undercover or off duty cops in that group as well, at least chanting, screaming etc to fit in.
If the common denominator is undercover adgitators, tricking some protesters into behaving badly, should we be able to expect a Blue president to also pardon and release all but the same number that Trump released? It is possible for that president to consider those people pardonable.
I don't think, you think that I am a Dem/Blue/Woke. Maybe you do. Different\Evolved from three years ago? Yes. Not nearly as angry (although still get frustrated more than I'd like to) sleeping better (not great) and I'm able (for the most part) able to not kneejerk react to things ......
Although Gene and I both jumped on an erroneous report of Oregon firetrucks being stopped for lacking proper smog requirements.Getting out of the corporate world (and the Wokeness that was making me the angry, short of sleep, hotheaded reactionary) has helped me find a level of peace I haven't had in decades. All that negativity does nothing but degrade the quality of life for me and the people around me. I want others, everybody really, to find more peace in their lives.
I like exchanging ideas, debating, learning other people's perspectives. If only I could
Inspectect what I Suspect 98.2% of the time. I sometimes still react poorly.
Most of the time, the Politics forum (by evidence of the lack of voices who regularly are to the left of Trump which includes a not insignificant # of Republicans, Independents, Libertarians) isn't the place for that.
It is the place where the 6-10 people regularly not only support Trump 98.2% of the time, but defend Trump aggressively.
All of the has made the forum less interesting and more of a cortizol creating experience.
And YES... I played a big part in contributing to that hard-right, negativity, and regularly on the attack of just about anyone to the left of me in almost two decades. I'm not doing that anymore.
So to give you a direct answer, yes. I have changed.
