Big wind and rain coming. Was predicted to start last night but no trace of water or potted plants blown over when I went out to get the newspaper. Currently it’s 75F with 86% RH. Winds are said to be 17 mph right now could get up to 55.

Had thunderstorms roll thru last night... Woke up to no power this morning. Messed with the generator for about 45 minutes. Think I need a carb kit. Power came on about the time I decided the generator wasn't going to start. 😟

Yes sir, I am enjoying the last cup out of the pot as I type this response. A bean from Bolivia, Apolo.

Apolo is an indigenous region of Northern Bolivia that had never commercially grown or exported coffee, until they began working with Wildlife Conservation Society and Cafe Kreyol in order to create a model of ecological preservation, and economic sustainable income. Cafe Kreyol works directly with 5 indigenous communities of Apolo, that speak a form of Quechua that predates the Incas.

The coffee from this region, with a very defined orange acidity (when roasted light), chocolatey flavor, and sweet aroma, is quickly taking it’s place as one of the top coffees of Bolivia.

Same here. Some magazine have done it too. I suspect they get paid by the number of subscribers, paid or otherwise.

I read the local paper in the barber shop today, first time in years.

The upside to Climate Change.

No snow on the ground and high winds does have everyone's attention. Three small grass fires in the last three days.

my wife and I discussed ending the daily delivered newspaper...it's available on-line...we use the paper to line the parakeet cage...newspaper is a good window cleaning wipe...wrist aches from holding the cellphone or tablet, and eyes strain, when we read the digital paper

for more than 60 years, I've read the daily paper; unfolding it and separating apart the individual sections, grabbing the Sports section first, licking thumb and turning pages, folding the pages back, and then in half ...it's like the physical equivalent of comfort food...

we still have the paper delivered daily...

Horis found a great home! He is currently being spoiled rotten by a rich couple who work stay-at-home jobs. He really lucked out.

No pic yet of Benji, he hasn't been posted on the adoption page yet. Hes a 2.5 year old 60 lb brindle.
