A portion of the article driectly below. Link at the bottom.

He was also drawn into speaking about US policy, in comments seen as a partial rebuke of President Donald Trump. He said that America should endorse free trade and focus on producing goods in which it excelled, while importing those in which it did not have expertise.

“We were good at producing tobacco and cotton 250 years ago,” he said. “We want a prosperous world. Trade should not be a weapon. The United States — we’ve won. We have become an incredibly important country starting from nothing.”

He continued: “I don’t think it’s a good idea to design a world where a few countries say, ha ha ha, we’ve won. I do think that the more prosperous the rest of the world becomes, … the more prosperous we’ll become.” His comments attracted applause.

Of course I'll poke holes in it right away to save the Chez Whiz Swallowers the time.

The Sunday Times (London Times) is a left wing rag!

It wasn't on Breitbart or Zero Hedge so it isn't news!

The economy (which is the best economy ever) if it isn't the best economy ever, is the fault of Sleepy Pedo Joe and the Biden Crime Family!

This is further evidence of the Democrats being in disarray! And what will he say when the House gets controlled by the Dems in 18 months?

I trust Trump with the economy. Who the F@#k is Warren Buffett anyway? What has he ever done?!

AI Question I asked.....

In the world of media, what is the Left equivalent of Breitbart News?

In the U.S. media landscape, Breitbart News is known for its strong conservative, right-wing bias. An equivalent on the left would be a outlet with a similarly pronounced ideological slant, often prioritizing narrative over nuance. The closest parallel is likely The Nation or Jacobin. Both are unapologetically left-leaning, with The Nation focusing on progressive politics and Jacobin advocating for socialist policies. They mirror Breitbart’s intensity but from the opposite end of the spectrum.
If you’re looking for something with a broader reach like Breitbart, HuffPost or Mother Jones could also fit, though they’re less extreme in tone. Each has a clear left-wing bias, often emphasizing advocacy over objectivity, much like Breitbart does for the right.

I never said there is nothing he's done right.
-I like 90% of what he is doing on Immigration.
-He fired (ahem... "reassigned") a moron who keeps bungling Signal communications.

Of course he also hired him.

Now the man he insulted as "Little Marco" is doing double duty because he's one of the few competent people in his cabinet.
I like him having Rubio in the cabinet.

There. Two things that Trump has done that I like.

Ball is in your court. Can you find any two things he did that you considered wrong or missing the mark?

Nah. not really.

Warren Buffett moved a bunch of his positions to cash shortly before Trump started tanking the economy.
(I'm wondering if he was tipped off). He knows more about economics and outcomes of moves like the ones Trump has activated. Yet none of the hardcore Trumpsters here see that as an issue?

The Purity Oath you guys took to be 100% in line regardless of the activity might be of a higher level of seriousness then the one Mike Johnson and his daughter took a couple years ago.

Warren Buffett has been moving some positions to cash for a year. It is not new news. Many people watch his filings every quarter to see where he is increasing or decreasing positions. The expectation has always been that he was making reductions so his successor would have leeway to set the new direction for Berkshire Hathaway.

Now you twist it into some kind of cheese whiz thing to fit your narrative. You’re going to need to calm down or you will blow a gasket.

At some point you need to ask yourself why you are in favor of other nations having high tariffs on US goods while the US has low tariffs on their goods. Are you wanting to see the US siphoned by globalism, are you more pro-China than pro-US, are addicted to cheap goods built by 12 years olds, or you just have to be against it because it is Trump’s idea.

Pace yourself. You need to save some energy for Trump’s 3rd term. Trump 2028.

Let’s all just listen to Joe Rogan and get all our political opinions from him. The man arguably, leans significantly more to the left and liberal side for almost everything, but he has a few “controversial” Views such as thinking it might be a bad idea to start pumping four-year-olds full of hormones so they don’t go through puberty to in order to be a trans woman because that four-year-old decided they wea girl and not a boy. My four year-old nephew can’t dress himself and still believes in Santa Claus and the Easter bunny, he thinks cartoons are real actors and doesn’t comprehend animation then for about a year he was convinced he would develop superpowers by the time he was a teenager, but according to some, he has the mental faculties to decide whether or not they should pump him full of hormones to prevent him from going through puberty which there are no long-term studies on and the harm it could do to somebody. There’s a reason your body does not stop fully developing until you’re in your mid 20s but some medical professionals have decided that it’s not necessary for your body to fully develop naturally the way it was meant to. And if you decide to essentially castrate a prepubescent child God only knows what side effects you may experience for the rest of your life…. That being said, I am all for letting anybody do whatever they wanna do once they are at least 18 years old and have the legal right to make decisions for themselves even though they’re not allowed to buy tobacco or drink for another three years., So we let a four-year-old get hormone injections but we won’t let them drink for another 3 years after they’re old enough to vote Or join the military. So by that process of thought, we think that a four-year-old has a mental faculties to decide that he should completely chemically castrate himself but at the same time, we don’t think he has a mental faculties to be able to handle drinking a few beers. Makes perfect sense. Go ahead and pump yourself full of crazy hormones but no alcohol for you, but we will let you go and join the military and kill other human beings even before we allow you to have that first drink

Again, I don’t mean to bash on that community. I have nothing against people and the way they wanna live, but I think somebody should have some life experience before they make choices like that. Then by all means do whatever you want to do. My best friend is a bisexual man dating a trans man who’s in the middle of taking hormones to transition who made that decision when they were 26 years old, which by that point sure go ahead and do whatever you want to. we get along cause we understand everybody is different and has different beliefs, but as long as we don’t cram those beliefs down each other’s throats, we can all live together with little to no issues., I come from a background where I was a total, jock, fraternity boy, and the son of a Christian pastor And until I was 40 years old, had never even had a gay friend that I was aware of resulting in me being very ignorant towards the LGBTQ community is like and what I love about being friends with him is he enjoys educating me on what that community is like and let me ask any question I want. Honestly, I believe the vast majority of people from that community as well as people from the average straight community just wanna live their lives without being bothered by anybody else or having someone else’s beliefs crammed down their throats. The crazy extreme ridiculous people on both the left and right I wouldn’t be surprised if they only made up maybe one percent or two of the actual population but with things like social media they’ve been given a platform to be extremely loud making people believe that there is a massive community of people that believe the way they do and if you don’t fall in line, you’re gonna be in trouble. If that were true, Donald Trump Would not have help the presidency for 4 years, lost against Biden and then won a non consecutive second term. The only other president in the history of the United States to do so was Martin Van Burren 181 years ago in 1844. Simply put I Think the vast majority of Americans are pretty much somewhere in the middle and would be what I consider moderate So they vote for somebody new when the prior president wasn't somebody they liked. I'd consider myself very much in the middle and a moderate, but typically vote Republican but when Tulsi Gabbard was running for the Democratic Party, I would've voted for her in a second over Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton for that matter. We need a president who is not Worth hundreds of millions of dollars if not billions well-being considered a senior citizen. Give me a young president in their mid 40s with a family who has spent most of their life living a middle class lifestyle who knows how the majority of Americans live because he himself or she has spent most of their lives living that way. You think presidents and congressman that are in their 70s and 80s that are worth vast amounts of money have even the slightest clue on how to relate to the average American or how to legislate policies that benefit the average metal class American. I say if you are old enough to retire and collect Social Security, you should not be allowed to continue working in a position making decisions that will affect somewhere around 350 million Americans. I think Nancy Pelosi was in her 80s and was still the speaker of the house. That's absurd. My father was the head pastor for Church from about 1000 people for 45 years and when he turned 69 he decided that he was a little too old and was not quite in touch with his congregation like he used to be and didn't understand how different society is from when he first stepped into that position of authority so wisely he retired. Anybody in a position of authority should Be able to recognize that once they're in their late 60s and 70s or even 80s have no clue how to relate to people in their 30s and 40s starting families and trying to live the average metal class American lifestyle which honestly doesn't exist like it used to. I'm 40 years old. I'm considered an old millennial and my dad cannot wrap his head around the fact That rent for a one bedroom apartment in the suburbs of Chicago is less than what his mortgage cost him when he bought his first house. In Chicago suburbs to buy a small three bedroom two bath house you need to average about $125,000 annually. 35 years ago, my parents bought their townhome for $100,000 and they just had it appraised for nearly $400,000. Yet he still can't seem to understand why I choose to rent and I'm not even thinking about buying a home as I'm single and not married and have no kids. When he and my mom first got married, their parents gave them a wedding gift of $20,000 And that paid for about 60% of their first home., I'd be lucky to find a two bedroom one bath ranch house in the Chicago suburbs for less than $250,000. The point I'm trying to make is that when you're in your 70s you don't understand what it's like to be in your 30s or 40s and if you're in your 70s and you're the leader of the free world how in God's name are you going To understand what's best for the average middle class Americans

You started your rant against Trump by using Warren Buffett’s comments about tariffs. Are you against Trump raising tariffs with countries that high tariffs against the US? He said he was going to raise tariffs the entire time on the campaign trail but I did not think he would move so quickly. It took us globalists 35 years to get Americans hooked on cheap goods made by 12 year olds in Asia and Trump wants to dismantle it in four years. That’s aggressive.
