56 & rain. Cold for this time of year.

Relaxing tonight. Gonna try to work on my burn pile / woodpile tomorrow evening. Started the saws yesterday--good to go.

Hopefully we'll have a nice bonfire sometime over the long weekend.

You guys have a good evening

had to go to a Diabetes Health Education class today. My PCP ordered it due to the last few blood lab test results, over the past 2-3 years, showing my blood sugar levels getting too high...I really know that I should eat less processed carbohydrates (cookies, candy, pasta, bread, white rice, chips, ice cream) and more fresh veggies and fruits, less red meat and less processed meats...but I also discovered that I was taking my meds at the wrong time and checking my blood sugar levels at the wrong time...so I've been fooling myself into thinking my diabetes was under control...back to the drawing board to build new, healthier habits...

Lows in the low forties and light rain yesterday- I think they said it was a record low for that date. Cloudy and still rather cold out there today with a short period of rain predicted for the late afternoon.

Happy Friday and loooong weekend folks.

Coffeed up and went for a 5 miler @ 0530 in 71 and sunny. I notice that it takes me about a minute per mile more once the temps get into the 70's than during the winter months for the same level of exertion. Came home and had a Crocodrilo on the patio and then attacked the larger palm tree which attacked me back. Somewhat bloodied in about 5 places but .... success!

The streets are almost deserted as this is traditionally the first weekend when about 20% of the city heads north either for summer homes or camping in the mountains. Great time to take the '65 out for a romp around town.

Have a great weekend all.

Up on time. Breakfast with a friend. A little walk along the mean streets of DePere WI (if you havenโ€™t spent $100 in the last hour AND have at least $100 in cash, you get a vagrancy ticket).

Dog walked. Smoothie next.

Clouds remain, without the rain. 58 degrees.

Finally home from work and pagers turned off. ...for a lil bit.

But at least I can smoke something I like without fear of having to toss it if the pager goes off.

Eiroa First 20. Fantastic cigar.

I've worked 11-13 hours a day all week and barely slept all week because I can't sleep well when I'm on call. Back on call at midnight but just for 12 hours, then I'm off till Tues. And back on call Tuesday...

Just got our new rental in Little Rock

Went to a cigar club that had a โ€œyearly feeโ€ to smoke there. However non-locals are allowed to smoke for free. Because there was a fee, I assumed that you could bring outside smokes in and buy drinks.

Nope, yearly fee gets you entry, no outside cigars allowed, bourbon and cigar prices are normal for a B&M, and you have a to pay a BIG fee to smoke in certain areas.

Iโ€™m sure they have their reasons, but I think Iโ€™ll smoke somewhere else once I move here.
