Just got our new rental in Little Rock

Went to a cigar club that had a “yearly fee” to smoke there. However non-locals are allowed to smoke for free. Because there was a fee, I assumed that you could bring outside smokes in and buy drinks.

Nope, yearly fee gets you entry, no outside cigars allowed, bourbon and cigar prices are normal for a B&M, and you have a to pay a BIG fee to smoke in certain areas.

I’m sure they have their reasons, but I think I’ll smoke somewhere else once I move here.

Maybe by Arkansas standards, Kentuckians are practically Yankees? They are making you pay a tax of sorts?

Sunny and the birds are chirping. Something does have to be done about the temperature (41).

46 here. High of 67.

Cooler temps lately, for May.

The rain has been good for the garden though.

A little warmer than yesterday, but still 46-55 for today with clouds and intermittent light rain. Hope the weather is better in Ohio for the Big East baseball championship game this late afternoon where my neighbor's son is playing for Uconn.

Let's be honest... every day is all yours. It's part of being a layabout... we get to lay about.

I don't do the 5'ers, I do the 3'ers with Tank. Gym 3-4 days... plus a fishing or shooting day here and there.

Been forgoing the gym for a week or so. Got a bum shoulder that's taking its damn time healing. I can still do my workouts, but not without some pain... so I am waiting and doing a bit of rehab. When the rehab doesn't hurt, I will get back to it.

hmmmm...seems as I age, I'm in permanent rehab mode...injuries and soreness from manual labor (gardening, pool maintenance, etc) take much longer to recover from...

was talking to Kelly while we were on our 30 min walk this morning...about how aging is rapidly eroding me physically...it was only a couple-three years ago when I was doing one and half hour/4.5-5 mile walks nearly every day...she reminded me that I usedta complain of foot, ankle and knee pain then...now that I do a short slow 1 mile walk with her in the morning and a longer 2.5 - 3.5 mile walk in the early evenings, the pain in my knees isn't as severe, but my feet and ankles still hurt...

Pretty smat. Pushing through it usually just prolongs the recovery times or ends up causing a chronic condition. Maybe a little stretching instead.

Buncha old fuggers.

Figuring out the difference between a strain, pain, injury or just the body breaking down.

The joys!

Happy Sunday mornin peoples. I always look forward to watching Indy 500 and also this year seeing iffn Kyle Larson can complete the double which includes 500 miles at Indy then 600 at the Coco Cola Nascar. Tony Stewart is the only driver to complete both.

Watching the warm up lap with a plan to watch 5 minutes of the Indy 500.

On the warm up laps, prior to dropping the flag, one driver got loose and put it into the wall. Out of the race before it starts.

Can only imagine the memes.

After some discussion regarding pastrami sammiches on Vherf last night, I craved a good pastrami sammwich.

Ran to the grocery store this morning to get some pastrami and grilled one up for lunch on rye bread with Swiss cheese. Sides were potato chips and a dill pickle. It's yummy, I may have violated pastrimi rules because I didn't put coleslaw or sauerkraut or mustard on it. I trust the jury of my peers will let the minor details slide.

Living a large and a exciting life. Next chapter I will explain on how to tie your shoes.

I missed the herf and it has been a while since I did pastrami. Can't beat a NYC deli with a knish on the side.
I'll try to get on next Saturday and give you some hints on the shoe tying. No trips 'till then !
