Good Tuesday Morning to All! It's great to be back home.

We got up at 0400 in Anchorage yesterday morning, rode on three plane, got home last night about 0100, and slept until almost noon today. We had a great trip. Flew to Chicago, took an Amtrak ride to Seattle, had lunch, flew to Fairbanks, got about three hours sleep then boarded the Alaska Railroad train to Denali. The next day we took another train ride to Talkeetna, next day a bus to Anchorage the night before leaving for home.

After spending two 24 hour days and two partial days on a train my balance is much improved, but I am still feeling the train motion. 😰

We were really blessed with perfect weather in Talkeetna that allowed us great view of Denali/Mt. McKinley

Did some great people watching. The airports, subways, (Chicago and Seattle) and streets were... interesting. Including one young woman wearing a tail and a dog leash. 🤦

more ammo, Gene, for going on a roadtrip in the continental USA...been thinking of going to Utah to visit several of the National Parks in that great state, then spend a day or two checking out Salt Lake City...

Gorgeous county! Salt Lake City is worth a visit, in addition to the usual stuff, the state capitol is also interesting.

HHD folks. Phone says 5.7 miles and 11233 steps before 7am. Just finished a lovely Warped Sky Flower on the patio.

My humpin is done for today. Pool time coming up soon.

Sounds like a great trip Gene. We were disappointed that the weather interfered with our chance to fly over Denali when we were there but the scenery is gorgeous wherever we went anyway. One of our best adventures was walking on a glacier a few miles from Seward.

Yes! our 2018 trip was like that. We couldn't see Denali from the lodge in Talkeetna but the weather was good enough to fly into the mountains and land on a glacier. That is the picture I posted here. This time we got several view on the train from Fairbanks to Talkeetna and the best view the next morning.

I uploaded one picture to the escape pod here:

Rain most of the day. Quit around 2pm. Creek is up a little. Right now 68 degrees and cloudy.

Gonna be crazy when I try to mow tomarra evening. 12 days of growth during the rainy season...

But at least the gardens are watered.

Went out to clean the firepit. Took nine 5gal buckets to remove all of the ash and coals. That was one heck of a bonfire last weekend.

Then I began to weedeat the firepit/woodpile area and it started to downpour. I just said Frank it and kept working. Weedeated the gas well area too.

By the time I was finished I was soaked and had a beard of grass, sand and mud on my face.😟
