Gonna thread jack a little bit here.. loved how Dark Side of da Moon opened and closed.. One of the most perfect albums ever.. 😟

Back when the album was first released and while his parents were on a trip, my h.s. buddy held a party at their house. His Dad had bought a pair of Bose 901’s (…don’t remember if they were the OR or the Series II…) so my classmate wanted to show them off. He played “DSOTM” (…really loudly…) and while I’mma not a big fan of the direct / reflective sound, both speakers and album sure sounded great.

No, iirc, it was the summer after we graduated from h.s. and my friend’s Dad was a military officer so no funny stuff other than alcohol. However , I cannot confirm nor deny that some youthful activities may or may not have happened on the drive to the house. 😁

Not many of the albums I have place my favorite song (from that album or otherwise) in the number one slot...I can think of one: Whiter Shade of Pale on the Procol Harem album...
