tonight was Louis Tete. it was decent. though 2000 was the best year i had...last year was good. i am 100% with you on george debouf. actually, if you have a choice, ALWAYS take the beaujoulais VILLAGE nouveau over the beaujoulais nouveau--it is a better quality grape. and louis tete's beaujoulais village nouveau is the BEST. we were just a smidge too slow this year...they sold out over 2 months ago.
surprisingly, we found another vin nouveau...we got a red and a white (they were cheap). teh red was opened for comparison. sweeter and effrovescent. if you do not like bubbles in your wine, it would not be for you...we had only 1 glass of it, i think...the louis was far more complex, though nouveaus are for quaffing--not very complex...but the difference was more than marginal.
