Considering where it is and what it does, I didn't feel that painting it was necessary. This truck is one that I am restoring, but it is also my hunting truck. It is going to stay utilitarian and functional.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to reply. I meant the top end. My XLC has the 345 engine. I bought it with the intension of restoring it, but that was before the kids and the house.
