Every night I kneel bed-side with my four year old daughter for prayers. Typically we give thanks for health, happiness, family, friends, our troops, and way too many other blessings to list. Tonight, Max will top the list and he'll stay there until you get him home and can kneel beside his bed, feel his warmth under your hand, and thank our gracious Lord for his growth and good health.

My 16 year old was a 1 pounder too. there have been GREAT strides in technology since then. We'll keep praying for Max as well. Andrew has some vision problems, but is also a 3.6 college prep HS soph. now.

PS - if he doesn't catch up on the growth chart later on, look into HGH therapy, it did wonders for Andrew, I just wish we'd found out about it earlier. Besides that, we got the Roger Clemens Value Pack, too, came with an autographed picture and all. (j/k)

update: Max had surgery last night to clamp a PDA. I'm not to quick with medical terms but I'm pretty sure he had a heart murmur sewn shut.

He is doing very well today. His blood pressure is up and O2 needs are down.

You folks have been great. Please keep praying. Julie and I are constantly praying. Thank you so much for all the personal stories of success. We need to hear them!

djk ,still praying for you all. We were lucky NICU parents were only there 3 days. Seeing what others were going through made us realize just how lucky we were. He sounds like a strong little dude. Hang in there bro!

Updates on Max ?

Max turned two weeks old yesterday. He is a fighter and is still holding his own. There is not much to report, Max is stable. The vent may stay for a while, which is to bad, but other than that he is coasting.
