Bad News to Report: It appears that one of our experienced traders did not get his end of the deal. This is very unfortunate and it saddens me to see something like this happen. After all, we are here to help our new(er) members by sharing the leaf.

I will make it right by sending a "Few Dog Rockets" from my stash to the experienced trader that got burned.

However, to prevent this from happening again, I encourage all experienced traders to have the Newbies send their end of the deal first.

An update to my trade with USAHog:
The trade is progressing, hog has been swamped with things to do. He has my package ready to send or has sent it already, I am waiting to hear what he would like for my end.

You, and the experienced traders have welcomed newbies in amazing fashion, and speaking for the newbies,like myself that have completed their trades...."thank you"! You have kept me and others coming back to CBid, and anything I can do....consider it done.

I'm looking forward to my sampler HarleyDave thanks, and I too feel bad about someone not completing their end of a trade, as HarleyDave requested I received an address from Smthbw, to send my end to the troops in Iraq, I am putting a box together with the help of my kids to include the cigars as well as some other items like beef jerky, nuts, ect. I will post when it actually goes out. Thank you HarleyDave and all experienced traders for helping out this Newbie!!!

Sorry to hear of the problem with one newbie trader. I too will be happy to send a few rockets to make it right.

However, it is very gratifying to see posts from newbies that are rapidly becoming true BOTL here.

billy--for what it's worth i think we should post the name, user id and address of the person who didn't live up to their word. that might protect someone else down the road somewhere. i'm sure there could be a few possible reasons why the trade didn't go down as expected, but if it is simply someone trying to get a freebie, then we should protect our own by not letting it happen again. i don't put my personal thoughts and opinions out on this board too often, but when an honest attempt to do a good thing is disrespected by a thief, it kind of pisses me off. happy new year to almost everyone, and best regards, john

Yep I think they should be outed too if there is no doubt that they didn't hold up their end. They could at this moment be trading privately with people who might be about to get shafted.

You are one Helluva BOTL. I respect your opinion tremendously.

I agree with your assesment. We should identify the person, "Later." That is, after we have given the person ample time to respond. Providing them with the benifit of a doubt. Matters of extenuation or mitigation should always be taken in consideration.

For All Newbies: Communication is the key to success in any trade. If you know that you are not going to be available for a period of time please express that to the experienced trader. If you have an unexpected emergency then express that as quickly as possible.

Take care of the experienced traders. I know "For Sure" that they are taking care of you!

When I started the Newbie Sampler I thought that there might be a time or times that I would have to step up and send an experienced trader some of my old "Dried Up Dog Rockets". What the hell...I love sharing the leaf with proven BOTL anyway and I got more gars than I will ever smoke. So, it is a win win situation for everyone.

billy--i agree that the person in question should be given every possible opportunity to make the situation right before being outed. i'll trust your judgement on when that time might be....please send me a personal email with the botl that has been shorted. you know me....i just might be able to find some old rags to send that direction as well. will report later this evening regarding pending trade with newbie dave orloff. we're getting close. best regards, john
