BTW, that 'spam' up there is a well known con! if you give them your phone number and you call them, they hook you into a service similar to a 900 number, (but you WONT have to confirm charges, it just shows up on you bill to the tune of thousands of dollars!) there's no treaty or agreement in place with the Nigerian government to stop this, or recoup losses. Heard about this scam a year or so ago on the news. If I can help, let me know how!

UPDATE:

well, mrs. sprague received her own package from OpFTH recently. she was both surprised and grateful, and she said that she took it to work with her to show colleagues and said, "see what kind of people who are supporting our troops?"

she received a homemade necklace using japanese and czech glass beads and semi-precious stones in USMC colors with a glass red heart pendant, a praline and vanilla candle and holder, and an assortment of Bath and Body Works bath products -- a gesture on behalf of OpFTH to say "thank you" for all her help in getting OpFTH started and keeping us updated on her husband, first sgt. mike sprague, and his marines in fallujah.

anyone hear from the first sarge lately? last time i heard from him, they were returning from an assistive operation that took them away from the base for several days.

the OpFTH mission in support of the 2D LAR guys is coming to a close this month, BUT OPFTH GOES ON! we will be changing coordinates and targetting other deployed B/SOTL and their fellow troops in september. so we STILL NEED YOUR HELP! contact any OpFTH officer to make donations -- or just to send a card, note or letter to the troops.

Also our Mrs Sgt PAckage is going out next week. Was waiting for the church festival to finish (this week) and gonna pack the box with goodies for the kids from the Games tent (we are chairpersons).

I did not offer to send THEM cigars but I did offer to send cigars on their behalf to the troops if I won.

i'm getting one more to sneak out the door by 1 sept, or la10870 is taking over first-o-the-month packages (though we don't have a target selected quite yet), so i guess either send 'em to me or to michael (la) if you're sending them out soon. otherwise, schmitty's packages go out mid-month.

we WILL have a target soon -- if not a new one, then the bro's replacing 2D LAR in fallujah.

the reason for this is that our adopted company is slated to return in Oct. we don't want to send something over after 1 sep that's going to just get sent back.

we also have a mystery bomb going out via KNOF soon, so take your pick, basically! lol

A nice package of sticks was sent out yesterday to the 1st Sgt. Many thanks to RegDunlap7 (John) and Cigarsmokin (GB) for their generous contributions. Because of their donations about 80 sticks were shipped and about 50 were truly premiums. Hopefully the Devil Dogs can have another great herf in the desert before returning stateside.
