Guy here is something else you may want to send. I have also sent a bunch of this stuff and all the guys who have used it like it very much.

It is called Aquaphor, you can get it in a large tube or in a 14oz container. I normally get the 14oz because that is the cheapest way to buy it. It runs around 16-17 dollers.

It is for dry skin, our guys have a lot of lip and nose problems over there. From the dry heat. And this is about the best stuff that you can use on those areas. And a jar of udder cream is also a good thing to send to them. This is a lotion that you can buy at the feed store or walmart. The guys use this on their feet and hands and it helps a lot with the dry skin in those areas.

And thank you for the offer of cigars but I have quite a few if you know what I mean. I spend most of my time at herfers paradise. And I go by the same handle at HP.

usmc5 -- thank you, too! never would have thought about the udder balm as a useful thing to send. any other suggestions? i'll make sure to get some of the udder balm into my next package out. they sell it (inexpensively too) all over the place here -- grocery stores, drug stores, kmart/walmart, etc.

well, after getting a HUUUUUUGE bunch of cigars from harleydave (as well as other goodies) and adding it to the stash of cbid wins and other stuff to go out, the 1 aug box is brimming. 😃 THANK YOU to all of you who continue to make our adopted marines' lives a little easier.

although the end of aug is our last "official" day to ship things over (don't want to risk stuff getting there too late when the guys come back home to camp lejeune), OPFTH *WILL* CONTINUE.

there are at least 2 other cbid brothers deployed right now, and OpFTH will target them. if you know of any other deployed cbid bros, let me or schmitty know.

i have a favor to ask of you, folks -- my health has been iffy at best and isn't getting any better. schmitty has worked his tail off, too, to get these shipments out on a regular basis, recruit others' help, etc. firstsgtsmoke (mike), the cbid bro to whom all this has been addressed, will be coming home, and he has vowed to step up and help take care of the next bros in line.

here's the favor: is there anyone here who would also care to step up to the plate and take responsibility for packages going out 1-2 times monthly? i've been sending packages on the first, schmitty on the 15th. i can't speak for schmitty as to whether he needs a break, but i know that i need a break from the physical organizing. i'll still be here doing generally behind the scenes stuff. but i would be very grateful to find somone who can take over getting out one first-of-the-month package in september and onward (for how long would be up to you). you'd be responsible for accepting donations from folks, packing it all up and shipping out one box per month -- you can donate your own stuff, yes, but that is NOT expected of you. i will walk you through it all, get you set up with customs forms and details on the "how-to" of it.

thanks, bill -- i'm still willing to go on with this as well; i am worried, however, about how my health might impact things esp. in the near future.

i've got to have more (minor) surgery tomorrow a.m., and my last doc appt. came with a rather pessimistic prognosis -- in plain english, looks like i may end up hospitalized soon for treatment to save my left foot and/or lower leg.

though school starts in early aug and takes up a LOT of her time (she's a teacher), my wonderful wife has said she'll help out, so i feel better about continuing to ship out packages after talking with her. i just don't want there to be any interruption while i'm dealing with this next phase of things healthwise.

take care of yourself FIRST tony! I got your back man - you know that! I can shoulder anything you need in your absence and gladly hold down the fort until your up to it again. Relax and tend to your issues without worries my friend.

Mike would be a great addition to the permanant OpFTH officers club 🙂 I think he would be great and we might consider him stepping into the 1st of the month regular shipment spot for you in near future for you until your back 100%. That would eliminate the pressure for you and the worry. When you return back and ready we can talk about what to do then.

Just getting back from the RTDA and due to weather did not make my flight in Fort Worth while at the Hotel there were some Army Vets that missed there plane also.
