Who are you to make such a strong comment about someone? Other boards have more support for Gamelover too, compared to you.

HP isn't a private site, but they do have a private board, that even established members need special permission to access. . . . just being a member doesn't grant you access to that particular board. . . . in order to read it, you have to post a message, typing some specific oath, and then wait for approval (via PM) from a moderator. . . . if you don't have PM, you're out of luck. . . if you don't type the oath as quoted, you're out of luck. . . if the mod doesn't like you, you're out of luck. . . .


. . . . this isn't to say there isn't some kind of information available there, just that most of us don't have access to that info. . . . . .

Anyway, Ropeman, I commend you for taking a chance with Gamelover. . . . hopefully his issues were just a misunderstanding. . . .

Gamelover2004 does have a lot of good trader comments at CigarWeekly (shrug). Its nice of you to give him a chance. You just ought to know what kind of guy you are dealing with on SOME of his transactions.

I have been following the GL saga on several boards.

What seems curious to me is that GL has made hundreds of trades, PIFs, and/or box passes since he started smoking hand rolled cigars. When did he start smoking hand rolled cigars? Less than five months ago.

I am not a cigar trader, but I do trade music and have been watching this thing with GL unfold over the last few days. A couple of things strike me as interesting...From what this last guy said, Gamelover has only been smoking for a few months, even if this is true (and its hard to say whether or not it is for sure), There are a lot of people that are new to smoking and have built quite a supply of cigars. Second, a lot of the people saying things about him are coming from other boards, people that are unfamiliar to me and a lot of others here. It makes me think that these people are trying to smear his name as a trader. That being said, there IS some sort of problem as he is being talked about on more than a few message boards. I also find it rather odd that he hasn't stepped up to defend himself while people are trying to smear his name.
With all of this going on, I woudlbe really hesitant to include him on anything major for the time being...I remember a month or so ago on another board a character by the name of Archmage or something getting friendly with some people on the board and then stealing hundreds of dolars worth of cigars that were part of a pass. The last thing anyone wants is for that to happen.

Lastly, I think that maybe the subject should be debated on another thread since this is one of the worst threadjacks I have ever seen 🙂

On another note.. 😞 I was not going to address the subject of all the thread jacking but this will be the last time I will do so. GL is in the box pass , I am not going to throw him out. So everyone can stop putting their 2cents in about him. Also, lukin said he wondered why GL has not stepped up to say anything, if it was me I wouldnt step up either. By getting in a name calling contest it will make him look bad.
Now all this is said and done, can everyone stop thread jacking. I am tired of it!

There are ALWAYS risks involved with trades/box passes... no matter who is involved...

Box is all ready to go out but I have 1 problem. I made all the sheets at home this weekend on my laptop , went to email them to my work this morning.
