Do I see George II just around the corner? Never easy losing a pet, some more than others and it looks like you lost a real prize.

Just sitting here remembering George. I can't believe he's been gone for almost 7 years. I still miss him big time.

Dave, certain dogs you never forget. My last one Maeve was like that. Its been 4 years and I miss her every day. We had a set drinking smoking routine. I got started, she jumped up and laid down in my lap. Then went to sleep. Every once in a while I look down expecting to see her there. I am only now thinking about another dog.

Yes Spey, there is always that one dog. Though I love and miss George, my once in a lifetime friend was Gus. He was a 165 lb. male Rottweiler. You can see his photo in my closed account's avatar above. He was my shadow. No matter where I went, he was at my side 24/7. I lost him after only 5 short years to bone cancer. I couldn't function for weeks and suffered from deep depression for several years.
