What line is the top five cigars from? Closest band I can think of is the 1887 or 1876...whatever that foul beast was called. Pretty sure it's not that.

Pac & Cooper - Have you ever served or been deployed? I'm guessing not since if you had you would understand that even a White Owl on 15 minutes of downtime is like being in heaven. No worries to you both, sit back and smoke your $20 cigars while our troops protect the freedoms you so much enjoy.

It's a lot easier to go to Law School & Truck Driving school then sign up for the service and be deployed. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking their choices, the service isn't for everyone.

All I'm doing is pointing out the simple fact that those who haven't served don't understand what it's like to be away from family & loved ones, while it's rewarding as hell, it's lonely and it can be very depressing.

I'm sure I'll hear a whine a** story from cooper about how he is gone all the time and while that is true it's NOTHING like being deployed. As a truck driver he can talk to his wife and kids anytime he wants to, by picking up his cell phone and dialing a number. He also get's the freedom to stop and eat in any restaurant he chooses and he can stay in a comfy bed every night if he wants. Also if it's that bad he can shut the truck off and make a call and say f**k you I'm going home.

On the other hand when I was deployed I got to write letters, there was no internet, and if the ship had a phone and you were lucky enough to get to use it the phone line had a 15 second delay so most of your conversation was garbled. So for me it was waiting for letters that by the time you got them it had been at least a week, and at times that really sucked but I did it because I wanted to serve.

The simple fact is if you give a solider a cigar and the time to smoke it, and it's a great moral booster. Most of the service men I know don't have a palette for only the best, they like anything they get no matter the brand. It's about relaxing and letting your mind go home for awhile and see your family, friends and pets, and while it's only in your head it's better then the reality you face when that cigar goes out.

So again THANKS to all that donated!

God damn hostility on this thread... LMAO... where was it mentioned (before Pac and Cooper's posts) about these sticks going to the troops?

1876 is a **** stick... so what... oh you're giving it to the troops? Props to you man... let's print a **** certificate of achievement for you... hell, maybe we should name a day after you...

Wait, I sent a pallet about 300# of troop goodies... do I get a day named after me? Oh, I didn't post pics of everything and try to get everyone to pat me on the back... guess I luck out on that special day.

Give me a **** break...

Don't think that Sanity was a soldier, but could be wrong.

He sent the sticks for the troops, what's wrong with that?

^ Nothing wrong with sending smokes to the troops...

1) don't need to post 100 pictures of what you are doing

2) jump down people's throats that were commenting on a picture you posted and NO WHERE did it say anything for troops

I would think that most people around here contribute to OpFTH or another like organization... that's great... just no reason to toot one's own horn... my .02

To clarify, I have never served in any branch of the military, but have great respect for all that have.

CE put out a call for some cigars for the troops. He said any cigar is a good cigar to send over. While i am not proud of the 1876 or what ever they are, i was not going to smoke them so i sent them over to CE. If a solider will get any joy out of having the time to sit back and enjoy a cigar then it will be better in their hands then sitting in my humidor.
