Shame the God haters have to hone in on a small part of the OP's satirical post.

Really!!! What does being poor have to do with being dirty? I think you could’ve chosen better wording than “Poor and Dirty”.

You keep on waging a one person anti-God war, it will ultimately only hurt you. If church bothers you that bad, don't go, but you're missing out. They are generally great places filled with flawed people trying to do the right thing and work on a better relationship with God.

Interesting stuff, but not my experience at all. The multitude of churches I have attended have been filled

The first 3 letters in conservative are 'con'. Wow, so weird. Must be a sign from god or something.

I swear I don't understand why conservatives like these little email parables, they are usually full of lies, misrepresentations and innacuracies and usually preachy.

The charity you are talking about is usually tithing. The vast majority of those tithes go to the running of the church, not helping the community outside their walls.

Red states also take more from the federal government than they pay in taxes. Blue states like NJ get back much less than they pay in. Red states are leaches.

Regarding church donations, a common reply but also untrue even when the church donations are removed. Cash aside, conservatives donate far more time and blood to charitable activities as well.

As to taking benefits from the states, I'll not comment as I have not researched that particular aspect.

I've seen that claim. Problem is, the methodology used to reach that conclusion is flawed. It relies on self reporting, and the people lie. Case in point: In calculating the amount of giving the respondents are asked about their church attendence. 1/2 of them lie about that. If everyone went to church every week like they say they do, there wouldn't be enough room in the churches of America. If they lie about that it stands to reason they would lie about how much they give as well.

So the charity given by "conservatives" isn't as good as the forced welfare provided by our inefficient federal goverment?

Brilliant.
Even for you, that's a dumb statement.

When you're down and out, and the local church or food pantry keeps your kids fed, I doubt you'll be bemoaning thier core-beliefs.
Meanwhile, you could wait months for governement assistance if you don't fit their neat and tidy profile of who is fit to receive.

Charity and community are from the heart.
Government welfare is a top-heavy bureoucracy.

I often loathe the proselytizing that the religious right do.
But when push comes to shove, they are there and they put their money where their heart is. No second thoughts. Actions and deeds in place of promisses and words.

Can you say that for the federal government?
