Grace Jones - The Ultimate Collection

"Discovered" her in 1980 when my co-worker put her demo record on 'cause he thought the cover was interesting. Fo' sure her music, at that time, was geared more towards disc but her covers of "Love is the Drug" and "Breakdown" definitely gave those songs a different spin.

A couple of Frank “Chairman of the Board“ Sinatra comp discs. One is the highlights from the 3-CD “The Capitol Years“ box set. The other has my favorites from Frank’s Reprise Records years.

I wasn’t much of a fan while he was alive but a couple of my friends were. Their constant talking about and playing his music led me to listen and kinda, sorta finally “get it”. Unfortunately by then I missed his concert at the Aloha Stadium in ‘86 and two shows at the Blaisdell Arena in ‘86.

Nostalgia. Early life was a lot Trio, Association, Crying Shames, Loving Spoonful, Buddy Holly and such. Oldies if you will

5-8 grades explored more of the "Classic" rock at the time, LZ, The Who, Beatles, Doors, etc.

Early 90s was rough because I had to catch up on the harder rock I'd missed through the previous decade, look into some metal, and pick up this new fangled grunge thing that was happening

It's a lot of work fitting decades worth of music into 15yrs of life

Elton John - December 22, 1973 - Hammersmith Odeon, London, England

BBC broadcast. An excellent recording from the “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” tour. I saw him earlier, September 17 to be exact, and it was an amazing show.

Jerry Kramer’s Inside the Locker Room: The Lost Tapes of His 1967 Champioship

Went to our storage unit to get some Christmas stuff and pulled out a small box of CDs too. Came home and opened up the box. This was the first CD I saw. As a long time Green Bay Packers fan, I bought it when it first came out but probably haven’t listened to it since 2005 or so.

Really wish there were more songs with Mick playing the harmonica. He's really good at it.
