Zepplin “Physical Graffiti”

This really sounds more like Jimmy Page took over this one. Do love it

Take 6 - Join the Band

Have no idea how I got this CD. Found it while cleaning out / organizing a box of discs. No disrespect but I’mma not into Gospel music so highly doubtful if I purchased it. If anything this is a demo CD but there aren’t any markings, punch holes, etc. that would indicate as such. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder make guest appearances so figured I’d give it a listen.

Currently have the new Dream Theater album Parasomnia on repeat. Mike P returning to the band after 10+ years away as really brought the band back to full form. If you like metal or prog rock check it out.

A mixed CD with:

Third Stone from the Sun - Jimi Hendrix
Too Rolling Stoned - Robin Trower
Let's Dance - David Bowie
Can't You Hear Me Knocking - The Rolling Stones
How Many More Times - Led Zeppelin
Wang Dang Doodle - Savoy Brown
Les Brers in A Minor - The Allman Brothers Band
Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
Can't You See - The Marshall Tucker Band
Green Grass and High Tides - The Outlaws

In the "old days", this woulda been a heck of an FM set. 🌫

Sleep - Dopesmoker, 63:20 playtime single song

It's that kind of Sunday....

Proceed the Weedians, NAZARETH!

If you're in for a little less playtime, less noise and less cannabis reference, Jerusalem is literally the same song.

So I got really pumped and played 2 twenty minute sets against some live drum recordings I've amassed. I'm working on concept recordings at this time so I guess you could say I got an earful of

Amenacé

The concept is starting that ugly 70's muscle car with a healthy max displacement big-block engine as dawn is breaking on the horizon and one drives off into the dark and lonely desert early morning. Amenacé, simply is sunrise or dawn in Spanish. But in the Spanish literature romance era, so late-middle Spanish, it's used to convey the first corona of light on the horizon. So, stoner rock with it's hand on her butt.

Credence Clearwater Revival - a disc of my favorites from 1968 to 1972

Back in the day CCR was in heavy rotation on the AM radio. They were also popular with the garage bands so their songs were played at all the dances. Good times!

I need to bust out my external disc drive... I have an old version of iTunes on there that has all of my music on it.

I donated over 200 CD's when we moved and I should have frickin' kept them. 😣

Led Zeppelin - How the West Was Won

I got this when it first came out but I've never listened to it all the way through. I probably won't be able to do so tonight but am planning on playing all 3 discs in the next couple days.
