If I remember correctly Jordan's Hussein and many other foreign dignitaries were (unofficially) treated by our Government to a bevy of call girls every time they visited. This hushed tradition occurs to this day. The highly decorated and revered Colonel David Hackworth also practically traveled with a whorehouse for his men. It was his way of "treating" them for a job well done. Nothing was said about this at the time because he got the job done.

Too much ado about nothing IMHO. ALL Government branches indulge. It doesn't make it right but it's always taken men of character to walk away from temptation. Unfortunately, we have too few of those these days.

My boss used to be a White House Communications Officer a couple of administrations ago. Apparently since this scandal broke his wife is giving him holy hell about what he was really doing when he was on the road 200+ days a year. Poor guy...

Yep...he's guilty by association, as are all the other husbands like him. They all got some 'splainin to do. Trust is huge in a marriage especially if the spouse (husband AND wife) spends a lot of time on the road...and going to "conventions."
