My whole problem with this case is he got out of his car and started following this kid. Kid tries to ditch strange guy following him and suddenly he's behind him again. If anyone was standing his ground it was the kid being followed. Zimmerman created this whole situation. If you told this story to someone who never heard of this case and didn't mention race I think everyone would blame the guy who got out of his car.

The kid did try to stop things from escalating, he ran and tried to lose Zimmerman. But, Zimmerman kept following him and created the whole tragic situation.
