My problem with this whole thing is Seminole County did not file charges after their investigation and people outside of Florida decided to make it a national racial issue and the douchebag governor pandered and appointed a special prosecutor with orders to file charges.

Seminole County was right yet didn't the sheriff lose his job?

To so easily dismiss this case really makes some people think like we haven't changed much from the time when the death of a black (or hispanic, or asian) person wasn't considered a serious crime. I think that's part of what got people riled up.

People get shot and killed. District Attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and grand juries decide if charges should be filed. They know what evidence is available for both sides before they decide to have a trial. The trial itself does not produce "both sides". Mysterious surprises don't come out during trials like on Perry Mason. They did their job and were proved correct in the end.

A witness who was the one who called the police identified Trayon on top of Z punching him. An EMT testified to treating Z's injuries. This case was not easily dismissed.

The media, "civil rights activists", and others packaged a story including altered photographs and tried to push a racially motivated false story which only serves to keep the nation divided. People got riled up because they were told to get riled up and people are generally too stupid to know any better. Works every time.
