Why do you have an employee that is buying EBT cards?I believe that is illegal. Seems to me that an employee that is willing to show off to his boss his illegal activities should be fired. More significantly, his willingness to purchase that EBT card is helping to create the exact problems being complained about with these things. He bought that card so that some other dumb-ass could go buy alcohol or crack or whatever the hell wasteful thing they're looking to get into. Then some liberal is going to see the hungry crackhead and decide that we need to increase the amount of $$ going to food stamps because they aren't getting enough food. So... you should fire that employee for wasting your tax dollars (actually, he literally bought some of your tax dollars at 60% face value) and then for being stupid enough to brag about it.

Yes it is illegal, But so is driving while drunk. If he's not convicted, I can't fire him.But I agree with you 100%....my employee is a moron!

you could just smack him around a little bit... 😟
I am not saying that I don't think he is guilty. I think its a shame. But anybody that has been in management with a large company knows you have to build a case to get rid of an employee. If I tried to fire this guy for buying EBT cards, I would have to prove that he did. I'm sure he would change his story that he was given them, or holding them for his buddy. Regardless, I can't fire the guy for having them.I am hardly an enabler. I'm just realistic in the screwed up environment which I have to work.
it's the welfare card.... but I guess 'welfare' isn't politally correct anymore.... 🤔
So possible EBT food stamp fraud is happening and you feel some internal concern over the matter, well let me give you an easy way out:How about skipping all the could of, should of and call the USDA Fraud Hotline at 1-800-424-9121 and make an anonymous report of the fraud. Then you can sleep at night knowing you took an action and while the employee can guess you did it, he would never know for sure as I am sure he has mouthed off to other people on how smart he is.
