blah blah blah........

There may be 5 bands on there not better, but equal to zep. The rest eclipse them.

blah blah blah......

Well, you could probably begin by saying LZ influenced most of them, without a doubt... but it'd fall on deaf ears, so save your breath.

Eclipse Led Zeppelin? They are not even my favorite band, but Jiminy flippin Christmas... how can one say a fly by night band, with maybe a handful of hits, eclipses Led Zeppelin? When they have more than a dozen multi platinum albums they can enter the discussion. Until then... yeah, um... go back to music class.

All that being said...

Disturbed has a bitchin' song that rocks. It's called 10,000 fists.

One more goddamn day when I know what I want
And my want will be considered tonight, considered tonight
Just another day when all that I want
Will mark me as a sinner tonight, I'm a sinner tonight, yeah

People can no longer cover their eyes
If this disturbs you then walk away
You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of
Ten Thousand fists in the air

Power un-restrained dead on the mark
Is what we will deliver tonight, deliver tonight
Pleasure fused with pain this triumph of the soul
will make you shiver tonight, will make you shiver tonight, yeah

We are the ones that will open your mind
Leave the weak and the haunted behind

Ten Thousand fists in the air
Ten Thousand fists in the air

First person to say Nickleback gets mudstomped.....

I'd rather listen to The Offspring or The Toadies anytime over Van Halen. I will listen to Led Zeppelin ANYTIME.

Van Halen with David Lee Roth was like the 80's vintage Camaros that came with a 4 cylinder engines. Looked fun at first, was mildly entertaining, started to leave you wanting more til you realized it was all show and no go. I liked them a lot better after they picked up Hagar.

+1...I saw Van Halen every time they came to town...I went to the Pontiac Silverdome to see the Monsters of Rock tour...seeing Spammy McGaygar onstage with Van Hagar was an embarrassment to the brand. It was billed as Van Halen but there was Bette Midler in cargo pants and a headband with a headset mic trying to play the same songs but he had to scream and it was just terrible.

Record sales are on your side too...the concert numbers dwindled until they had to give tickets away for the Van Hagar shows...until Eddie, drunkard and meth addled came to his senses and brought the only frontman the Mighty Van Halen should ever have...the Toastmaster General hisself...the Diamond David Lee Roth!

To the OP:
Van Halen II is indeed a great album.

Fun summertime music.

Van Halen II is a great album.....No one said anything about Zeppellin until you did, Wheel......Van Halen sucked after Dave left. This is non-negotiable..........And as far as that list that somebody posted of bands better than Zeppellin? You put Creed on it, therefore it is null and void and you enjoy the flavor of nutsack. Your opinion does not count.

If you don't think that this thread is about as useless as a cello on/off thread then you're retarded.

Despite Wheel's shrug, this is far and away the best post in this thread. And all posts that cite Wiki to prove that one band or album is 'better' than another is rather silly.
