The dude is sitting in Russia explaining to other countries how we spy on them, and the very same crowd that wanted Cheney to waterboard with carbonated pork broth approves. Nice.

Spreading government secrets across borders was never his intension.

Our government fully intended to lsten to almost anything and anything it's citizenry said. That, is what he had a problem with.

And as soon as Sammy got ticked off, he had no choice but leave.

Sammy needs to look no further than the mirror to see who is to blame for the whole thing.

Just like Obama Care- the law of unintended consequences almost always rules the day.

Plus.............. Snowden gets reduced shipping on Russioan Brides. A HECK of a deal- until they turn 40.

It may not have been his intention (I don't buy that for a second) but he did spread secrets accross borders. Russia is a much better place to live. They would never spy on their citizens. I heard Putin even bought him a donut.

You could argue that but you really don't know. It didn't happen. you can rationalize anything, but the fact on the ground is he is sitting in Russia telling them and other countries about how we spy and who we spy on. What have we become when that is acceptable?

By "you" I mean in general not specifically anyone in here.

teedubbya wrote:

The other thing to consider is we don't know what exactly he's telling the Russians, Germans, Spanish etc.

Isn't spying on other countries an open secret? Listening to Merkel's (sp) cell personal cell phone smells funny. We don't know what (if any significant) detail he is sharing.

The whistler blower within the system that would be damaged by the blow of the whistle isn't an option.

You mean our government is REALLY here to help us?????[sarcasm] Thanks for finally unwittingly convincing me.

We need more Snowdens to sound the clarion call.

Maybe I don't think we should have embassys in the middle east because I don't beleive we belong there. Should I get a job where I have access to the security plans and schematics of the embassys and provide that to the radicals over there? After all I could try to get us out through our regular system of laws but would likely just fail. I've decided it's not right or legal but at the moment the three branches disagree with me. So I must take it into my own hands.

If anyone has lost that much faith in our system then they have serious issues. I know crap happens but the hysteria is something else.

Wow. With your proximity to DC you have a deep client base.

Can you hang a shingle on Capitol Hill? Or did you already have Shingles?

Really what it all comes down is your view of the government as a whole and you can make either argument.

If you are okay with being medicated with the latest medication, distraction, Kardashian and making your way by not working; or working the system, and you want the government to provide security and safety (that they can't secure anyway) and think the federal government of is part of most of the solutions, instead of the current set up being part of the problem, you are already gone.

I have a degree of schadenfreude in me. I hope I'll be dead before the whole thing crashes. The upside is, I'll be able to say I told you so! But probably from work camp in Iowa

Maybe the Chinese will come liberate us some day, by cracking the oppressor's code with the help of Snowden before Atlas shrugs.
