Arabelle South African Western Cape 2021 Cab Sauvignon. This one had a bit of tannin and I really enjoyed it. I can’t say I’ve ever tasted tannin and enjoyed the wine. The previous bottles from this maker and from others that I’ve enjoyed recently have been gushing with berry, plum, grape flavors with no noticeable tannin taste. I like those very much. This was a nice change.

2015 Ridge Monte Bello, Monte Bello vineyard, Sata Cruz AVA, California.
80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petite Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% merlot.
Technically a Cabernet Sauvignon, but in reality, a right bank Bordeaux in style.
Very reminiscent of a great Margaux.

Benjamin Darnault 2022 Viognier

Is Viognier the name of the grape? This doesn’t taste at all like the Viognier I remember having a couple months ago. The previous one I enjoyed. This one I’m thinking might be good to scour out the cast iron bathtub.

Rabbit & Spaghetti Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021

This is priced at $17 on nakedwines.com. I’m pretty sure if you are a person who enjoys wine then you don’t buy your wine there. But for a wine nOOb I think it is worth a shot for several reasons. But, about this Australian wine…it was loaded with cherry and blackberry but not too sweet for me and just a smidgen of tannin which is also in my wheelhouse.

DED and all yous guys, if you were going to choose a cigar to pair with Champagne, what would be some of your choices?

Moët Chandon Imperial Brut
I’m not a big fan of Champagne and I prefer Prosecco or Cava which is probably an indicator of a peasant’s palate. However, I do enjoy the Moët Imperial Brut.

Robert Mondavi
Pinot Noir
3 liter boxes...( that's 4 /750 ml bottles)
From a local food store...
That has them miss priced for
18+ months now !!!

The price is $10.63 !!!

The PA state store price is $24.99 !!!

I save $15 bucks everytime I buy one box that is
A 3 Liter mega amount...it lasts me about a month...
12 x $15 is a lot of money for a poor grub who digs through trash and dumpsters to live...and Robert mondavi pinot noir is pretty darn good wine...

I sure do love me some DUPIT PEEPS
working at these stores

Prolly a Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne?

I tried that once a few months ago and found the pairing to be 0 out of 10 on my palate. I missed the train on the Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne…I like many Perdomo cigars but that one, to me, is no good at all.

I appreciate your response though. So far the Cloud Hopper seems to fit with my palate when drinking Champagne but I need to experiment more. Frankly I like Prosecco better because it’s seems less sweet and it sort of cleanses the palate offering a better contrast…in my noob opinion.

F. Stephen Millier Legend Series Santa Barbara Pinot Noir 2022
I thought I was a Pinot fan but having drank (drunken sounds odd) more Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz this year I think my palate has changed a bit. Not a bad bottle of wine but I prefer the other grapes now.

Rudy Von Strasser Grüner Veltiner Central Coast 2023 The Strasser Collection

I’m completely sure that I massacred the actual name of the wine but that’s what was on the bottle. I didn’t care for it. I used some for cooking purposes and it was perfect for that.
