It's obvious the media is in the suit-pant pocket of the Hill Dog.
We get it.

But this whole issue with Trump and the Gold Star families?
The media is chasing down members of the GOP to get comments, and of course none of them are positive.

But where was this push from the media when Hillary did the same thing to the gold star mom of a soldier who died in Benghazi?

Compare the two:
A. Trump is an idiot who said stupid things.
B. Hillary is a greasy dirtbag who said stupid things.

But Hillary's comments are WORSE than Trumps. Trump didn't LIE to the parents. Trump wasn't involved in their son's death. Trump isn't calling the parents liars.

Both are despicable. I get that.
But bring it to a personal level:
If my kid died in service and somebody said the things Trump said, I'd be furious.
But if somebody else was a reason he died? And then lied to me? And then called me a liar when I call them out?

Perspective.

Neither side has any. But the left wear their ignorance like a badge of honor.

So This post actually made me go and look up what the "lying to families" thing is.

I'm not sure I'd call it worse.

I'm not sure we can establish that she knew the truth at that time.

And there are conflicting reports from the families as to what she even said.

Everyone hears what they want to hear.....

We can debate all we want. The basic question is simple. Who do you think will be our best president. It is unfortunate that the 2 people with a realistic chance of winning and becoming president are not great choices.

I'm not thrilled by either. But there's little doubt that hillary would actually perform adequately as president, where trump would likely continue his 13 year old girl antics.

I would be too, however there is one big difference and god forbid any such event in your family, I doubt you would use your family tragedy to promote a politician of any ilk, much less base that promotion on a distortion of the what was said. A proposed moratorium on muslim immigrants, what Trump proposed as did Jimmy Carter implement(?) versus outright banning muslims and deporting them all.

Election hyperbole, SOP, unlike the past, Trump feeding it back 100x, the democrats are just not used to taking their own medicine. Republicans have almost always just rolled over wringed their hands when attacked. Like it or not, Trump is beating them at their own game. The voters are eating it up, but it's still disgusting. At least the democrats now know what it feels like to be on the receiving end for a change.

Victimhood: Personally, I do not feel victims or families of victims of a tragedy have some special insight as to what should or shouldn't be done to prevent the next one, a great example are the 911 families. They have every right to their opinion and their grief, but that doesn't magically imbue them with the knowledge to resolve such issues or to decide if anyone else has contributed. It also does not give them licence to say anything they please without taking the consequences for what they say.

As to the title of this thread, Fair and Balanced, a Fox News slogan, does not apply to their coverage of Trump. I try my best to avoid the news, but I'm not the only person in my house. With a couple of exceptions, I get the distinct feeling most of Fox news personalities are not fans of Trump at all.

I know this will stress some of you out since you will in essence be agreeing with Fox News, but facts are facts. [ram27bat]

On the issue of the Benghazi terror strikes, Clinton denied telling family members of people killed in the Sept. 11, 2012, incident on a U.S. outpost in Benghazi, Libya, that the attack was sparked by an anti-Islam video and was not terrorism.

She instead suggested the family members misunderstood her because they were overwhelmed by grief.

“I understand the grief and the incredible sense of loss that can motivate that,” Clinton said. “As other members of families who’ve lost loved ones have said, that's not what they heard. I don't hold any ill feeling for someone who, in that moment, may not fully recall everything that was or wasn't said.”

According to politifact she gave the leaders and her daughter incorect information. She relayed that some random group who had claimed responsibility did it. That group then retracted the claim.

I can understand completely keeping that information from going to too many people until it's verified. Why would she tell them some group took responsibility if it isn't verified?

Seriously guys. This isn't hard to understand why the media is willing to report on one thing over the other.

Trump's words are on tape. He willingly repeats them and then re-tweets them. There is no ambiguity, the words are a fact.

Whatever you believe may have happened between hillary and the families of those killed in the benghazi attack, there is no evidence of what was said. The families don't all say the same thing even, and not all of them say they heard anything about a video. With this much unknown, why would the news cover it as a fact. It's the sort of thing that shows up in spin rags.

Al Capone was convicted for tax evasion and not all the murders, muggings, extortion... he ordered or committed himself. He was a good liar too.

You and I don't always see eye to eye on the issues.
But you're not usually this for off base.

It's not JUST the gold-star family lies here.

It's everything.

You want lies on tape?
Watch the multitude of youtube videos showing Hillary lying about the emails, with the FBI director saying the complete opposite time and time again.

She had the State Department fabricate the whole You Tube video lie to hide the fact that they were NOT going to send in any military to help them. Despite the fact it was a CIA annex house where they sold weapons out the back door...and had guys on the ground with ruby red lighting up the place so a pinpoint air attack via drone or smart bomb would hit the direct target. Those planes...were turned away.

"Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans," Clinton said. "What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?"

Yeah...reconcile that any way you have to but...she just marginalized the lives of Americans. Americans that had families, loved ones and friends.
