cwilhelmi, Sigs are great quality. I dont own one though. A buddy has a Sig 9mm that Ive shot. It feels Great! If you are into reloading yourself like I am. You may check out what components like shells,primers,etc go for. I know when that Gun(357Sig) first came out, ammo was more expensive than other more common rounds.
I have a Berretta 9mm thats pretty nice! Reliable too.
components for reloading are cheap. Go to gun shows if they are in your area. You find better deals there than in a gun store. Much more selection & competition.

cwilhelmi, I go to Target Masters in Milpitas or Reeds Indoor range in Santa Clara. What Brand is your .45 ? I'd like to own a .45 Colt. There are so many trick Items for that gun.
Right now I have 9mm Berretta,King Cobra 357Mag,Browning Buckmark .22 Target Pistol, Berreta .22 flip up barrel,Rugar Mini 14(.223)Rifle,Rugar 10/22 Rifle, Mossberg shotgun W/3 Barrels,and a really old sigle shot 22mag Rifle I got from my Father In Law 23yrs ago. Great Subject! Personally I was always interested in knowing about guns but figured I was better off without one. Until that day when the unforseen & unexpected happens to you, maybe some of you will still be against handguns. Not going to elaborate here and now but own a Glock .40 and Raven .25 Don't kid yourself, gun control is all about control, but what is being controlled here is another liberty!

Mag - My .45 is a Sig P220. Paid $600 through a police supply store.

I've fired both the P226 and the Berretta 92FS extensively. The Sig is my brother's and I own the Berretta. Both are excellent. IMHO if you're going to carry concealed, go with the Sig. If you want a sidearm that will take all the punishment you can give it and never jam, go with the Berretta. Mine has fired 5000+ rounds and never jammed once!
