A brisk afternoon in Kentucky today. Currently just typing away on a grant that needs to be completed by next week.

What are you all up to?

Watching the snow fall. Heavy wet stuff. Just from looking out the window, I'd say we have about 18 or more inches by now. Periodic heavy wind gusts to go along with it. Wouldn't be surprised if some places in the area lose power from fallen tree limbs and downed power lines.

Of course there is no school for the kids and even the city busses are shut down (they usually run even in pretty crappy weather).

Mostly rain near the coast but will be changing over to snow later as the temps drop.

Maybe frank could drive out here and use his calibrated "measuring stick" for an official snow total.

I have my first CAO Brazilia resting in the humidor waiting for me to smoke. How long should I wait for it to mellow out?

I've been smoking them when received and I enjoy them. Been my go to morning smoke for week's now. Give them a try and judge for yourself.

I’mma total outlier. I’ve smoked a couple of CBGs and for the life of me, didn’t think much of them. 🤐

Say whaaaaat?!?! [gonzo]

Yup, for my palate, the GO! is okay but I won’t be looking to buy any, regardless of the deal.

Just shows that different strokes for different folks is still alive and well.

The CAO Brazila and the CAO Italia came out at about the same time (if I remember correctly). I liked both when they first came out. The Brazila Gol! and the Piranha were my favs. I don't think they make the Piranha size anymore.

I also really liked the older blends they were producing like the CAO Corillo, and the L'Anniversaire lines (maduro specifically).

I used to be a CAO lover but then they seemed to transition to more marketing flash and stuff. CAO Flavors, CAO Sopranos, CAO Vision, etc... and the product, in my opinion suffered. Eventually, at the peak of popularity, they sold out General Cigar. Pump up the business and get bought out. Good for them to take the money and run. Can't blame them.

Haven't bought any CAO for many years so I can't say one way or another on how it compares now to previous production.

Coincidentally, I was adding some water to the beads in one of my totes just yesterday and ran into a couple original blend Brazilia Samba (torpedo). I'm not a big fan of larger ring gauge anymore so they will probably sit in the tote for a few more years.

Was rainy all morning, so Tank got a short walk. This afternoon the sun popped out so we walked around the 'hood and apparently the boy can adjust his poop schedule to fit around his leisurely walks.

Edit: Robert, it was rainy last night and this morning. 68 high today, I think. Next few days are cool and partly cloudy. mid 60's to mid 70's and rain again on Saturday.
