Sheepshead... I've only caught one, but it was like 5 pounds. 😁

I’ve never gone after Sheepshead. Caught plenty when fishing for Specks or Reds with shrimp.

That said, they’re tasty 🍺

Wifey's 40th today... She thinks we are continuing our tradition of not giving each other gifts. I am going to spring the surprise jewelry I got her tonight at dinner with the fam... Or maybe wait until our actual "going out to dinner and a show to celebrate" tomorrow... Still deciding.

Mebbe mid-80s or so? When I was at Sony, we started selling integrated audio-video systems right around then.

I’d rather catch sheepshead than specks or reds. Much better eating.

Pastrami and sauerkraut on toasted Everything bread. Used horseradish as the condiment.

Over did it.

On the bright side, my sinuses are absolutely clear!

I LOVE spicy mustard, fresh picked/grated horseradish, etc., and this gave me a run for my money. It was so hot and so fantastic at the same time.

That mustard could put sudaphed out of business.

pho with brisket, fatty flank steak, tripe and tendon for lunch...hot and satisfying on a rainy day...

visited my sister in hospice at an assisted living facility...she's survived nearly two months after a neurologist said she has only days or a couple weeks...inoperable and growing cancerous brain tumor...she's unresponsive when awake...

Skunked... but a day on the water fishing, smoking a cigar and drinking a couple beers still beats sitting at home.

Start of the weekend. Looking forward to relaxing. The 3D printer arrived yesterday only took about 30 min to set it up. Did a couple trial prints. First couple of parts came out nice but they were only a small test prints and one of them used 3 filament colors with the auto filament loader. Then I decided to print a larger model to test the extremes but only chose a single color print. This model was a 9 hr print so I just went to bed and let it run.

Sometime during the night it stopped itself. The spool of filament that I was using got snagged on the spool so it stopped printing waiting for human input to fix the jam. One good thing on this line of printers is that if it recognizes a problem, it stops and waits for user input to fix the issue rather than to try to keep going printing crap and wasting filament. Once it's fixed, it can start up where it left off. I chose to just cancel it and deal with it after work. Currently doing a reprint of that same thing I told it to print last night. It's 20% into it and so far so good.

If you are into or want to get into a hobby of 3D printing, I would recommend the line of Bambu printers. They came out of nowhere a few years back and are years ahead of the other 3D printers out there in the same market both with their printers and the slicing software. The price of a package is even less than the previous market leaders like Prusa who sat on their heals until Bambu entered the arena.

3d printing seems cool and stuff but I have no practical application for it.

20 years ago when I had a Bridgeport and a lathe in my little shop it would've been nice for prototypes but I've not machined anything since around 08-09.
