With the old whatcha smoking thread getting too long for cbid, let's try opening a new one so we don't crash the forum and lose stuff.

For future azzhats - the person who smokes and posts the 100,000th cigar shall start a new one for another 50k and again at 150k etc. The forum couldn't handle it when we got to 80k on Vol I, so I think 50k installments should be safe. The goal is to get to 1 million.

https://www.cigarbid.com/Forum/c/posts/380703/Whatcha-Smokin-Azzhats-1000000

I'll start.

80853 Rojas street taco with thanks to jakethesnake. Not bad, pretty typical Connie. Bready, creamy, little spice on the back half. Nice morning smoke.

I appreciate the new thread. It was taking so long to post, that I just stopped posting entirely.

Thanks Dan!

80854: CAO Flathead V660
I really like this blend. This stick had a small tunnel and on one side, about 1/4 of the diameter, it looked like to tobacco was smashed together. The ash in that part was a char, I scraped it with my little pen knife and it was not fluffy, it was literally like a small chard of charcoal. This stick didn’t produce as much smoke on the draw but it kicked out a lot while smoldering on the herftray. My oldest cigars are about 6 months and this CAO I’ve had for about a month. I don’t know if the problem is in how it was rolled or if it just needs to rest longer. Still had a nice full body but the flavor was a tiny bit ashy.

80856 Oliva Connecticut Reserve from Jakethesnake. I'll come back n edit when I'm halfway. Just refueled the smoker gotta hang out for a bit to make sure it lights and doesn't run away.

I'm smoking it fast but it's not complaining (yet). Mild typical light profile Oliva. Very similar to an O but without the woody flavors. It's nice, inoffensive, unremarkable. Oliva is like a Toyota. Most of their cigars are just dead nuts reliable, boring, and do exactly what you expect, want, and need them to do. Sure there's a few models with a little passion, but they too are fairly pedestrian. Can't hate em for that.

Finishing up, totally predictable progression of flavor for a Connie. Nothing off putting, burn is perfect, ash is solid. It's a great cigar but not a unique one. Still 3" left at 90 minutes. I put it down after 2 hours

80869 L'atelier El Suelo very good. Surprisingly complex for a little cigar I think these are 4x38. Started off with habano flavors. Woody cedar a little cinnamon, kinda astringent. Around halfway pete Johnson pepper and cream came forward and they all played together to the nub. Not bad for a little cigar $3.50 per.

WHO MOVED MY CHEESE?!! What's happening? Did I do something, and y'all were trying to, like, softly sneak away, hoping I wouldn't notice? You know, people (women) have tried that before with me. I'm good at not taking a hint.

So, was this the same Rojas you ended the previous thread with? with which you ended the previous thread? (just in case Frankie is reading)

If it is, we're good. If not, we lost a number.

And why is the thread titled "50,000 Edition" when we've already counted to 80k? Is it mean to only be for the next 50k cigars, then another new thread?

80872 e p Carrillo allegiance. Romusto I’m digging this enough I’m gonna get some more down the road. Think there’s a couple more floating around here that were gifts.

Jopito huh?? Damn that sounds familiar. Maybe I have some. Never smoked one though.

Yes.

This has happened with the forum before there seems to be a limit to how much "data" can be in a thread. Too many emojis and the whole place slows down any time that thread is opened (remember that fluffystuff dude who did it multiple times?). Seems like there's a character limit as well as the site was slowing down with that megathread.

So like the days of old, before my time, when threads were limited to 500 replies before they got closed, I figured if we didn't see the slowdown until ~80k that 50k would be a safe limit.

Maybe should rename it to 100k and then someone can make a new one when we hit 100k.
